Fascinating story about a rare gem of a car. Tony is a pleasure to listen to in these videos.

Always lovely (and hugely informative) to hear someone talk with so much knowledge about the car and it's history. My first car (1974) was a Simca 1000 that my mum brought from actor Robert Morley's butler! I had no idea Simca were connected to Fiat (it only lasted a few months) but remember it well enough to think the idea of anyone racing a car based on it pretty scary.

140 or so MPH back in the early 60's??
@wickiezulu
Is it known if the engine is based on the Simca unit or as noted in Luciano Greggio's book on Abarth, actually a bespoke design loosely related to the 982cc Twin-Cam used by Abarth?
