This was a phenomenal horror game experience! The way they made sure that the monsters only appeared for a split second in the corner of your eye, to make sure you're always on your toes, was so well executed! You know they are there, always watching. The question is just, if they're gonna attack or not. It plays so much into out instincts for survival, and turns us into scared little animals. 10/10!

I love these kinds of horror games. Where the main thing that creeps you out is the atmosphere. The creepy noises. Or the lack thereof building tension. Perfection. If you miss Outlast you should do The Outlast Trials especially since it can be co-op.

This absolutely feels like walking down a haunted house, where random stuff is happening, people dressed as ghosts try to scare you, and all you can do is just to keep going until you find the exit door. Except that in this game, it's a real ghost (or subjects, I should say).

I imagine the ghost man standing there for 5 minutes, meticulously writing down what's on the paper and drawing a few cute lines on it and then suddenly running towards the main character, just so they don't have to talk to them because they have social anxiety or something.

@kayimsick7924 A lot of people take medications because of neurodivergence, their brains don't work like the vast majority of people so even if you've been taking medications for 20+ years (like me) it can slip your mind because you're so busy trying to remember everything else you need to do. Neurodivergent people cannot form habits like a neurotypical person. That means no matter how many times you do a thing, you need to THINK about it every time. You need to tell yourself to brush your teeth, take out the trash, feed the dog, and take your pills. Sometimes some of your pills need to be taken with food, so you put them in your pocket to take when you eat. Now you're not looking at them, so they don't exist anymore. You forget because by the time you've gotten food, sat down, and have done whatever else you forget they're in your pocket. You forget unless you're reminding yourself over and over. I've gotten better at it because I have an app on my phone that reminds me at certain times to take pills, bathe, even to eat because I'll forget that, too. So, even tho people take them at the same times everyday (I take both day and night medications) it doesn't stick as a habit because it can't. I hope this helps!

I think the ambience being full of noises that don't mean anything prevents any genuine build up of tension because it's just repeated breathing sounds and voices and nothing really stands out until there's a jumpscare. But aside from that it was decent.

The movie you're talking about is spelled Gonjiam (곤지암) and it's based on a real asylum. Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital in Gwangju-si. Lots of ghost stories and rumors around it shutting down like insane doctors and experiments. The real reason is a bit more mundane, but still sad; it was gross. They had huge problems with sanitation and sewage disposal to the point that the patients they were trying to care for got sicker, the owner fled the country, and the government finally shut it down in the 1990s.

I love the seemingly random dust across the camera. It looks so realistic.

The rave hallway really reminded me of the "haunted house" attraction we have here. One year, one of the areas was a music festival theme with people dancing behind chain link fences and stuff

My father was my best friend, after he passed in 2010 I was so lost and spiraling. Playing video games and watching people like Seán also helped me get through it. (Though I didn't start watching Seán specifically until a couple of years ago.) I'm glad you are finding solace in watching videos like this and don't let anyone tell you how to grieve or how long to grieve for. Healing is messy, it's complicated, and it is never linear. These long form videos are the biggest treat to come to, with the recent uploads, especially when they are horror related. Whether it's a horror video game or like the older horror short film reactions, they're perfect to sit down with a snack, as if they're movies.

The jump scares feel kinda cheap, but everything else was fantastic. The palpable feeling of always being watched (occasionally confirmed by the eyes or little heads poking out), the little noises here and there, the subtle soundtrack, and the story being somewhat compelling while providing only snippets of information, plus the graphics - Top notch stuff.

Finding out you and Gab are together is one of the greatest discoveries I ever made.

I also love that cozy feeling of being inside during rain or snow. There is actually a blizzard outside right now, so sitting here wrapped in a blanket, I am loving catching up on these vids

I love how he says "I have a gf" like he's not been with her for years 😂

This game actually has an alternate ending where you simply leave before even entering the building

Im sorry but man you are WAY to relatable. The "feed me" in the beginning, painting warhammer while its raining and even mentioning Gonijam in the end. Dude is in my head.

Hearing you talk about Michael Rooker makes me so happy. I met him at the Atlanta Walker Stalker convention. A wonderful man, a bit rough around the edges as a lot of southern men can be, but just a fun and expressive guy!

The thing’s feet slapping the floor followed by its quick and weird little walk off into the darkness cracked me up. 😂

I love this kind of horror. No monster attacking you, no "find X amount of item Z to continue", but a very creepy atmosphere, good sound design, and a monster that spooks and scares you.

This was great! I love that the sound design was at least as important as the visuals. Definitely a headphones game. So much scarier with the great sound design. Also, and this is pretty niche, I'm a sucker for some good punctuation; there was so much variety and it was mostly correct (although I would have liked actual dashes instead of hyphens 😉). No comma splices like in so many other games. Anyway, brilliant game! I can't wait for the next one!

The whole feel around everything being so weird makes it feel surreal what a great scary game really not many like those in my opinion

I feel like I haven’t watched a playthrough this scary since the 2012 outlast/amnesia/indie-horror era and its honestly a weirdly nostalgic and welcome feeling ❤

I like how even though his flashlight is broken, he can still see everything that's close around him.

this was just fantastic, everything about it the sound, visuals, setting all so so good, love these types of horror games

This looks like it's made in unity, nice overcast lighting, nicely detailed floor and the fisheye bobby camera and a nice amount of fog

Never stop playing horror games, Sean. Love them.

There really needs to be more horror games where the player character can interact with almost anything that could potentially help you and have it actually affect the game. It always bug me that your character in a incredibly scary situation can walk past hundreds of items that could be used as potential defenses that any realistic person would grab out of fear but the game won't let you pick them up. And imagine if there are several jump-scares that could actually be prevented by interacting with the proper objects such as blocking a path behind you with a bookshelf preventing something from sneaking up on you or picking up an axe so that in the final moments when the creature finally attacks you have a chance but if you forgot to grab the weapon you are doomed or end up in a worse situation in which you have to keep going to survive.

I would LOVE to see Jack team up with Sam and Colby for a ghost hunt. That would be amazing. See if Jack turns into a believer after that

an urbex vlogger is someone who vlogs their urban explorations through usually abandoned buildings. If you want to watch some really good ones, I recommend The Proper People. So many people are not respectful of the history and integrity of the buildings, but those guys are really good at telling the history of the place, documenting the interesting stuff, but also doing as little possible damage to it as they can. I'd never be able to do urbex myself because I'm a whimp, so I'll continue watching on youtube 😅

OOoo this was one of the scarier games I seen in a while I got a few good chills and the sound design was really well done I thought there were things all around you then you found the lore and stuffs that was such a good experience for a short game. A game like this but longer would make for a great series. I actually had to pause a couple times and be like "Okay..deep breath and lets go!" and unpause to continue watching which is normally hard to make me that scared.

Exactly what I needed after my closing shift at the craft store. Perfection as always!

One of the most terrifying feelings in horror is when the character is alone somewhere and hears footsteps or sounds that make it look like someone is coming near or at them. Creepy.

He still has that yee ole charm from the good ole days I like Jack but I never have the time to watch him and every time I do it makes my day and the fact he still uploads is awesome love you Jack💚💚💚

I love that Evelyn recommends games to Sean id love to see a video about how you guys balance both being youtubers who make similar content. Like do you have rules about not telling each other about games you've played so you don't spoil it? Anyways love both your channel and hers! ❤

i loveeee watching evelyn play games cause she's so intricate about the details in the game and the back stories but i love jacks humor in it to make it less scary😂

shaders probably help a lot in making indie games like this look as good as they do

It's literally JUST the unreal engine. Games don't deserve praise for graphical fidelity of stock shaders and free assets any more than an rpgmaker game should be criticized for being pixelated...

Yeah UE5 makes this very accessible. It's the new normal, doesn't really deserve praise for the graphics. Indie horror in the past has always been more about the ambiance or story, with terrible graphics because of the low budget.

I love how he's like "is anyone else itchy?" And I'm over here snickering. Only a few minutes in and already having anxiety. It's a good game.

I'm playing blasphemous 2 and watching jack, when the car horn started going off it was perfectly on beat to the castlevania-esc music. ❤ then he said what a jam, made me crack up

This is one of the best indie horror games I've seen so far. Nice find Evelyn. 👍
