Definitely a 96. I ordered that exact sled way back in spring of 95. Unless someone changed the hood and the seat, the 97s did not have those graphics and lettering on the seat. I just sold that sled 3 years ago. Always ran like a top. Those motors pull like a freight train.

I went and got the carbs balanced on my mxz like 2 days ago, and i informed the technician that it has a bad needle valve in the left carb so you should turn the petcock off after shutting the engine off but he didn't and flooded the engine completely.

Date of mfg. Is on the tunnel tag!
I'm riding my 1990 Polaris Indy 440. Picked it up Thursday runs good. Bought it with a broken recoil. I can run it when you wrap the rope around the clutch.
Awesome to see vintage sleds back to life after sitting so many years. I did the same thing with a 1989 Mach 1, was sitting in a barn for 29 years with a blown top end. Did all the repairs and now runs like new.
Wish we could get more uploads and longer ones too, but I understand the pimp life aint always easy. Shred on, brother.
I had the exact same sled and honestly it was the best most reliable sled I ever owned. I sold it 6 years ago to my buddy and still to today in 2021 it's still running strong with almost 15000 km never been apart only thing it ever needed was a new shock drive Chain and sprocket. Everything else is still original.
I'm out here in Maine we got like 4 inches got my self a 88 and a 89 arctic cat cougar 500 just got done testing them out keep up the good work
Can't wait to see these running this year. Hope all is good.
In BC right now got between 7-10 cm on the valley bottom and up in the mountains we got between 60-150cm. Loving the videos so far guys! keep it up 💪
My friends... your running on all cylinders these videos are gold...
i had a red 95' formula z 583 back in the day when i was 16 in 00'-01 and it was only good for lake riding, it hardly had any rear suspension but still was a fun sled
Keep ‘em rolling Jeremy these are awesome we just scooped up a 2003 Arctic cat panther 570 lastnight gotta rebuild the chaincase
99 mxz 600. I love that the older sleds are still relevant!!
I love seing you fixing up the sleds💪
Lets goo! You know the rest of your day is gonna be good when Jeremy uploads a new video!
I made a spring tool out of a large flat tip screwdriver! Used my Dremel cutting disc to make a hook.😊 nice video!
My friend bought a sled that had not been started it 20 years and now it runs again. A Lynx 30💪
minnesota got 12-18 inches southern to central last night some areas may have seen 20 i hear. Still cleanin out yet nice to finally get some
574 was a solid power plant!! Lots of power waiting for have there!!! Got rip it across a field!!!!!
This is prime New England snowmobiling material.... I think you need to include a cooking show segment at least once every two weeks. Oh and let's see that ZR?
Just picked up a 99 mxz 440 and found this a fun little look at yours.
We need a video on that SX Viper!!!! Have an identical one but red, love those machines
the primer is the key to that sled just keep pumping it until u get fuel at carb on a rea cold start you assist it too with primer to keep it running
South Dakota, Minnesota border. About 3-5 foot in the ditches, foot and a half outside of them. I have a mxz 583 also along with a 2000 skidoo mxz 600 that’s my main sled. 583 is just a backup
These are awesome videos! Keep it up
I always hated putting those recoils back together the spring would always pop out on me
It's gotta be the start of a new season when you find Jeremy & friends bringing another dead soldier back from the dead...lmao....gonna be a fun season.
Jeremy this has inspired me to get going on the old bike im working on thnaks
Right time for sled wrenching videos. We got 8 fresh inches here in Mn last night.
wish I had one... first sled I never rode. I got interested in snowmobiling as a kid by playing a video game from 2000 that was an excellently made snowmobile simulator, called "Skidoo X-team Racing", which had the sleds in it from the 2000 lineup of skidoo MXZ's. And I do mean it was well made, never seen a snowmobile simulator with more accurate physics, although the center of gravity on the sleds was quite embellished to be lower than in reality for better handling.
I have some S chassis stuff kicking around if you decide you want a heat exchanger. I'm in Georgia Vt. I also have the kit to make it easier to tug these sleds you can have it all I need it gone.
Had that machine, loved it.
Great work, again. But, was that fuel line that you used rated for gas? If not, it might shrivel up or fall apart.
Here in central Maine we’ve seen about an inch and a half of snow so far. Got up into the 40’s today and sadly it’s all gone. Just got screwed over on a 2000 zr 700. Super hyped for riding all summer but unfortunately I don’t have the money to put into fixing it and my whole riding season is basically ruined. 😕
I bought my first sled in march it was a 1981 Yamaha ss440 for 275 bucks and it runs it is amazing
Always looking forward to a new video
make sure to clean the inside of the master cylinder after they sit for awhile the return hole which releases pressure gets clogged and brakes lock up while riding happened to me last year😂
in south west Michigan (Berrien co) 0 inches and 50 degrees :( love the content, you inspired me and a bought a 94 vmax for $30, so far im up to $130, had to purchase a lower end.
That was siick , good for you man!
I'll bet that rotary valve is gummed up really good as well. Also, those fuel plungers are bad for leaking and will flood the engine with normal operation .
I wish you could work on my sled. You guys are just awesome love watching your KZread channel
Southern Minnesota got about 20 inches of snow last night. Unfortunately in Duluth we have almost nothing
That MxZ is going to be the goat on wood trails...
We got a total of about 10 inches over the Christmas holiday here in Arlington Washington. Back to rain on the 6 of January 2022 as usual
Up in good ol richford we had maybe 4-5 inches which is now gone due to the good ol vt weather
I live in idaho and we have about 3 inches and we go snowmobiling at our cabin in montana every time I ride it I think of you
Jeremy I got a Polaris iq 600 and it’s an amazing sled so I recommend you to maybe look for one
I had about 2 inches of good snow, then today it rained and now I have slush here in western Massachusetts
Never had good luck with JB weld and antifreeze!....at least not on my jeep!.. I want that MXZ,! ..

What do you guys do with the sleds after you get them running. And where are you guys at
Up in northern ontario canada, We have about 2 and half feet, and she s snowing today again.
Sheeeesh, I thought the carbs on my vmax 540 im fixing up were dirty, those were cooked haha
I live in Southern Nebraska and we have 0 inches of snow and I'm getting to run my sled regardless lol
I have a 97 500 deluxe, most reliable sled every fires right up first to second pull everytime
Had 7 inches up here in northern MN but warmed up probably more like 5 inches now
Awesome video keep up the awesome videos job
For them bad carbs use amsoil powerfoam…little spendy but it works so well
Winnipeg. I've lived at my place for around 26 years and this is the most snow i've ever seen.
3 inches here and i took my 09 skidoo 800 out and the clutch blew out along with the secondary within the first half hour yay
Keep up the great vids
Just got hammered in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Got a foot and a half of heavy wet snow. Still coming
In Canada NB we just got 12 inches (1foot) but it keeps raining and snow goes away
Here in northeast Wisconsin just got about 8in today. Probably a foot and a half in total
I have formula z 583 rn but it's doesn't run to great but I'm 15 and love to work on things and did u say you were coming to Maine

New Richmond Wi , we got 10 to 12in last night
What size is the Yamaha SRX, 600 or 700? I had the red '97 SX 700 model before they made it better and blue haha
In Jackson Michigan about 45 miles south of lancing Michigan for a night we got like 6 inches and then it all melted
6 inches of snow up here in Duluth, but melting fast...
Could you solider that heat exchanger seeing how the hole was small and accessible ?
@ourkid2000

Yeah, could try that alumi weld stuff that project farm tested.....Hobart brand
That's a really nice mxz 😎
keep up the good work
That MX-Z was the shit when i was a kid 🤘thought it was the loudest fastest sled on earth!
Not sure if you guys did it but your secondary clutch needs tuning your deflection looks off (belt sitting a little low) in secondary
Anchorage Alaska, we have 2.5-3 feet of snow.
I don't know from where you are, but I recognize the fcmq stickers, so the snowmobile is from Quebec ;)
we were ice fishing here in new york. we had about 4 inches till this morning its now raining and 40......
We got a little over a 12 inches here in central Minnesota
In west Alaska we have like about 3 feet of snow roughly
Burke Vermont , about 3 inches of snow here.
Up here in Canada Quebec in the North we have 5 feet of snow
Here in the north off sweden got about 25 cm snow now
Nice work! That’s my favourite one of the bunch. Those 583s are tough starters even when tuned perfectly

if the primer actually works mine starts first pull
Where I live we have about 30 cm. Much worse then last year when we had about 1,5 meters of snow.
Fort Wayne Indiana- zero snow, 1" of rain and 60mph winds currently won't see good snow until mid January
So sick
96 had the green stickers sick sled
Keep up the good videos
This guy deserves more subs
Have about 2 inches in turner Maine
How did you find these sleds and go about buying them so cheap
I’m running a 2000 arctic cat zl 500 I know you and Mike don’t like arctic cat but they do just fine
That looked like a damn good dinner!!
This chassis with the 500-583-670 would pull ski to ski from zero to 70mph then the 670 would outrun the other two. We had one of each in 98
Up in North Dakota we just got about 18 inches of snow
I got a couple inches down here in southern vt near mt snow
