She looks like an Angel, that would be the perfect name... have you tried using Dawn brand dish soap to get oil out of fur? A lot of rescuers use it on wild life caught in oil spills and the like, you wouldn't need to try to cut out the oil spots

She must have been so scared all alone and nobody to lean on until you, amazing people, came along. Thank you for all you do. 🥰

Angel could be a good name because the black spot is always changing from the right to the left and vice versa...very magically 🤔😁😁😁🌠💞 (sewer: left, taking it to the car: right, in the car, feeding it: left, driving: right, going to the vet: left 😸😸😸). The spot makes her unique and very lovely. 💕

What amazes me is that the folks who very.kindly call you for help for these pups, don't bester themselves to get th peppers to safety and then at least meet you to give them to you! I mean, if I heard a puppy crying, I'd go look for it and get it safe for the night, then make a.phone call to rescue!

My guess (because she wasn't extremely emaciated) is that the people who called were the ones that dumped her. It's out in the boonies & they would have had to been out there to have heard her & so know she was there. Maybe they left her for the critters and then felt guilty, so called.

Older generations didn’t always see animals as sentient beings but more like tools to be used by humans. Each generation gets so much better about the treatment of animals. Other people are poor and don’t know how to to get unwanted puppies into rescue organization. Sometimes tips come from who left the puppy behind!
