Long comment, but this stuck a chord with me. Here's the thing with being a foster parent, we go into this with the notion that we are raising someone's future best friend. If you've ever adopted a pet, even from a pet store or humane society, they've likely been in a foster home before. Someone gave them up so that they could live their happiest life with you. This little guy probably just sensed these people were safe, and they were willing to be the bridge to give him a forever family where he would no longer be starving and struggling to survive. I've fostered myself. I recently socialized two feral kittens that I caught right on my back porch, in the same trap no less, this rarely happens. They turned from hissy and feral to loving little cuddle bugs in just a few weeks in my care. They came around quick too, they were letting me hold them after only a day or so, and that was after clawing and biting the shit out of my arm trying to get them into their playpen. They were adopted together recently. Did I cry? Sobbed. But at the same time, I see pictures of them with their adopter, I see how happy they are and I know that they were set up for a wonderful life that I would not have been able to provide them. Fostering and adopting out is not only a gift you give to the animal you have, but every single one in the future. What this couple has done is make sure that the door is open for another puppy to maybe follow them home someday!

It broke my heart when he was too afraid to fall asleep 😢. So glad he is now happy 😊

It's awesome that they found him a home, this is part of animal rescue- getting them to their forever home. I think this dog so perfectly expressed in his face and body language what they all feel when they are rescued and get hope and finally go to a new home, and they told the story so well as well. This is what really captured me, seeing the hope come alive and then to be fulfilled.

This puppy is so sweet!... poor thing was left in the streets alone .thank you for saving him and given him a chance to live happy life... and how happy and grateful he was!

Sad, when he seemed attached to you, but hopefully his new owners give him all the love and take good care of him.

Love to see these puppies a few months later after their adoptions. The tremendous gratitude emanating from the puppy's eye after his rescue is priceless. You guys have hearts of gold. Blessings.

Out of all the people, the dog was attracted to a couple that does animal rescues. They're so intelligent. So happy this little guy got his happy ending! Love and light for all the incredible work you do.

And this is why I could never run a rescue, I couldn't give any of them up. Especially this guy's little face!

@@robertslayerofmonsters1302 the dog was wandering the streets ie a stray. They looked after him whilst finding a suitable forever home. Therefore they are fostering and facilitating adoptions of animals that otherwise would never have had the chance to be adopted, either because they wouldn't have survived, or if captured later by authorities, may have been deemed unsuitable for rehoming and euthanised as a result. Also by fostering these animals and getting them off the streets (especially the cats), they reduce the likelihood of stray and feral populations becoming uncontrollable (this is the same principle behind the capture, spay/neuter, release programs some countries use to reduce feral populations as by desexing the feral population you decrease the birthrate and thus reduce colony size).

Wow! Thank you for saving the puppy. He must have been abandoned for a few days or weeks. He seems in a good shape. I can't believe that somebody had abandoned him, a little guy who have trusted that person. If you can't have a dog, then give them to someone who want them. It's just stupid to abandon them. My heart is officially melted! We rescued a 1.5 siblings. While the girl settled down immediately her brother was very shy and it took us a lot of time and love to gain his trust. But now, two years later, he is the happiest dog ever!

He knew that you would help him in his hour of need! Thank you for saving him and giving him a chance to live a happy and healthy life! May he and his new family live a long and blissful life!

These sorts of stories break my heart. But at the same time I'm so glad he found a family where he can be safe, if I could I would adopt every animal I see that doesn't have a home.
