Just made my annual donation to Olena and Love Furry Friends. When the Russians attacked Ukraine, I made donations through Canada's 🇨🇦 Red Cross to help the Ukrainian people, but I also wanted to find a reliable group to donate to, to help the abandoned animals. Lots of scammers come forth at times like this and it's hard to know who to trust. I was so happy when I realized that Olena's group, that I was already donating to, were located in Ukraine. Don't you understand that there is war in Ukraine? Animals are not important in wars. People are afraid every second that they can be killed any moment themselves. They are extremely happy if they are alive next morning. People have had to leave their own homeland because it got so dangerous to live in there. Imagine that in your life! There has even helpless CHILDREN died and kidnapped to Russia. Russia has committed a war crime by kidnapping the children. And you are sorry for dogs. And do you really think there are animal shelters in every village or even every city, anywhere in the world? Who has the strength and resources to run them in wartime when PEOPLE lack of food and are afraid for their own lives? You should think twice before commenting anything. You don't seem to know anything about the world. America has exceptionally many dog shelters and the reason is that there is a need for them. People in your country treat dogs so badly that huge amount of dogs are taken away from people and put in shelters and people give dogs to shelters very, very much because they get tired of the dogs or have dogs that don't behave well which is the owners' fault. America is anything but a model country for dogs.

@@garettmichael8689 I don't have any. However if my other half would have let me I'd like to have had a little dog. It is a bind, though, and one can't just leave home for hours on end, or days, and let the creatures look after themselves.
