ABANDONED Power of Sale House Frozen in the 1970's
In 2016 this house was sold to a developer for 4.2 million dollars by a couple that lived in the home since it was built in the 1970’s. The same day it was sold to another developer for 6.8 million dollars. This developer was charged for fraudulently obtaining investments in a mortgage investment scheme. The developer went bankrupt and this property sat abandoned for years. The property was finally sold “Power of Sale” for 9 million dollars. This house will be demolished for a new subdivision.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

It really aggravates me that homes like this get demolished so some developer can put up a bunch of cookie cutter bullshit houses or whatever they're putting their. Its a shame. The house immediately gave me the warm and home feeling as you first walked in.

That's a great place, the property itself looks very spacious and private with lots of greenery. Sickening to hear They're going to ruin that whole area with a development of People squished together.

not to mention all the work that went to building and maintaining it going all down the drain. And doubt the new house will have same quality material due to natural material scarcity of today

A the fact we don't need more house's made right now. They sat we have 5 to 6 times the empty homes in the US then we have homeless people. So it is a waste to build more homes right now. The US is one of the most wasteful countries there is.
That jigsaw puzzle of the foxes really made me sad. I can see the former owners putting it together with their kids. They might not even be living anymore but yet the puzzle is still on the wall where they glued it.

@@vivianholland6575 No,
Looks like a much loved home for many decades. It’s in a lovely secluded spot. Shame it will get demolished.
It does look like an older family owned it. They kept it in good shape. Most likely a nice home in its time as it looks solid built. Nice property. Thanks, Brent, for taking us there.
That is a beautiful old home! I love all that old wood. It is in pretty good shape.
I feel worse for all of the trees that will probably be torn down with that house. Thank you for the video!!🌲🌲🌲
Is very sad to see empty home …
9 million?! I almost spit out my coffee hearing that 😮😂

I love that retro 70's vibe, reminds me of when I was a kid. I'd live there and not change a thing (other than the ancient fuse box LOL). Nice one, Brent! Thanks for sharing it before it's gone.
Such a beautiful house. It's so sad to see such a nice place go to waste.
Almost ready to live in except the copper thieves hit the basement.
Thanks for doing this, something about abandoned houses is calming and relaxing
The light switches were updated to decora switches and the bathroom sink in the little bathroom was update. That fuse panel was definitely old. My parent's home in N.C. was built in 1961 and It had a circuit breaker panel in it. The home looked larger from the outside. Thanks for sharing, Brent.👍👍

Another great explore. Shame it’s being demolished it wouldn’t take much for a family to move in. It’s a nice house. Was wondering when you were going to post ❤️
Hello . I watched this in Australia 🇦🇺. I actually like these older homes. This one did have an odd layout but still in great condition. I’m glad it hasn’t been smashed up. Love the surroundings, would’ve been very peaceful living there. Thanks for sharing with us ❤🇦🇺
Nice looking for the 70s. Shame gonna tear it down.
It’s refreshing to see a house in good condition! It was dated but nice! ☺️😊
Interesting house, oddly laid out, loved that huge kitchen, especially loved the surrounding property, great find Bret thanks for sharing 💯👍🏼
The owners obviously cared about their property as everything seems well cared for and they left it very clean. That would have been amazing with all the land and no neighbours, I’m very envious. Stay safe out there!
nice explore Brent, definetly owned by older folks with all the handrails in the bathroom and on the staircase leading into the basement, probably a nice family house at one time
Hi Brent Greetings from Long Island, New York. This was a nice house. Well cared for and pretty clean. I found the basement creepy. The kitchen was pretty spacious. That one bathroom was strange with that small sink. Looks like a well built house. The deck outside was big. It’s too bad that they might demolish it. What a waste of a good house. Thank you Brent for sharing this cute house with us. I love your videos and I wish you would post more often. Stay safe and well.👍🆒🏠
always glad to go on explores with you. thanks for bringing us along!
Thank you Buddy. Between you, Ethan, Noha and Brandon we get different perspective cause you each have you own style. Thanks again 🤗Take care , stay safe. Donnie👋
Beauty of a place. Seems like the owners must have kept up the home, nothing looks worn out. Lots of mature growth on the land around this place. I agree that the owners may have been elderly. Was still interesting to explore no matter the condition. Thank you for taking us along Brent!!💯💥❣
It's a terrible shame and waste to demolish a beautiful home such as this. Makes me wonder why the developer couldn't fix up the house and incorporate it into the new subdivision. Makes me wonder what goes through these developers heads sometimes.
A good house in decent preservation, although it shows that it was not supported in perfect order for a long time, and a small repair of space, and you can live again ..
Hi Brent: Great Vid. Looks like the Cooper Boys finally got there. Ethan Minnie(KZreadr) did a video of this place about 7 Months ago and seemed to have most of the wiring still. Graham
Brent . always fun watching every vid with u , thanks 4 all u do .
Oh my goodness, great explore! I can't believe they are going to demolish this beautiful home and the property looks so nice! Love the brick house and the 70s look! The old clothes reel pulley was cool to see too! Not boring at all, a very awesome video for sure! Thank you Brent! 👍💯😊
Hey, good to see you back again! Not overly exciting video but still love watching❣️😁

Amazingly, decay hasn't taken this house already with it being abandoned for so long without regular maintenance. I agree with you that it was boring being all emptied like that but still, there were little things like the puzzle pictures on the walls, the stained glass looking things. I agree with other posters the Mcdonalds' character is Mayor McCheese. Thanks for sharing it with us Brent.

It was exciting for me, then I saw the big chest freezer 😬Yikes!!
I’ve never seen a bathroom sink like that before, kinda neat
Good to see your face again. You can tell it’s a solid house too bad it now sits empty. Thanks for the entertainment.
Awesome vidéo I really love the rest 👍👍❤️❤️😺😺👋👋
Those narrow wash basins are very popular here in the U.K. for second bathrooms and small downstairs loos.
we really enjoyed this video.

Hey thanks so much! 😁
What a nice home. Great exploration
We didnt upgrade our fuse box to a breaker till 2020. Im always suprised that this is how to date a house lol🧐. People sometimes dont want to bother updating for whatever reason and dont have the money. I think thats also why we didnt get the fuse box updated in so long. Home was the first built om the block in 1979. We got all the electrical & outlits modernized and uptodate too a few years ago.
Actually really liked this vid ❤
Great find
Great bones of houses built back then. Im surprised the fridge and copper has not been taken out. Very clean .no vandilusum. Surprised it is going to so much money and tearing it down. Sad
Thanks!
Hi Brent Its been a while - we've missed you ! Gill 🇬🇧
How is that little home worth anywhere near $5 million? Are there many acres of land that raise it to that level? Or is that part of the fraud with the inflated value? Too many questions...someone with the lender must have been in on it.

Wow - 9 million dollars. Why so much? The land?
I really like this video and home
This time there wasn’t any snow on the ground, that’s a change!
We have fuses in many places in Canada. Im living in an apartment with them now. My old house had them.
Nice place!, I'm going to say its a 60s House because of the Fuse Panel, Not sure about Canada but Residential Fuse Panels were phased out here in the US in the 60s

Surprises about the fuse box given that my home is from the 60s and has circuit breakers.
Nice house.
No refrigerators like that in the 70's!
Beautiful house, could be saved.
What a shame it’s being torn down.
That could be a lovely 🏠
I have the mirror panels behind the fridge in my garage. I think I got them on freecycle. I wouldn't take the fridge for free. I hate stainless steel. It is so institutional to me. I want a homey kitchen.😅
Black flies every where in the country? What is going on with those insects? are they in Canada since the beginning? In Europe they are not so nasty or I do not recall any. Thanks Brent for this beautiful scenery around the dwelling. Yes boring and huge; I wish could see one with the furniture. Cheers!
How much land does it sit on? For that price, it should be a lot.
@AbandonedUrbexCanada

12 acres
Just another family home probably filmed with lots of Christmas celebrations and other memories. Gonev
That's has about the same design in the kitchen with the drop down ceiling extension for cabinets and about the same size my counter top is shaped, same with other cabinets. My house was built in 1978 from people that didn't know what they were doing or how to read blue prints.
Whatta total waste of property 😳
I cant understand why anyone would want to live in a subdivision for me it would be like being in jail .
What makes this property worth several million? Near a major city or is this a result of Canada's overall housing crisis?
The house is still in fairly decent shape. Thanks for sharing Brent. Great to see you back
What? No chair😳😁
Leave the house be. It's in great shape. It's almost move in ready. It would be preferential to build around it. Homes aren't built like that any more. The new crap they're building is just thrown up, and barely held together. All they seem to use these days is crappy chip board sheets.
Hi Brent why did price go from 4 million to 9 million?
