Abandoned Phoenixville Train Tunnel
I checked out the abandoned Phoenixville Tunnel.
Disclaimer: Exploring abandoned tunnels can be dangerous, especially when objects are peeling and dropping from the lining. PPE is highly recommended.
I have plans on returning with the proper PPE next time.

I need to find my hard hat for next time, for sure.
I walked thru that tunnel a few times with friends back in the late 70's and early to mid 80s. Before the ceiling collapse. We were able to walk the tracks up to the crossing at Township Line Road near Cromby. That old car was there back then. Goldberg's junkyard spanned both sides of the tracks.
Dude that elecrtric bike was rippin!!! This one is on my list. Its even got rail! So awesome when you peek down around the corner and see that black hole staring back up at you.Its like YESS!!! Jackpot!!!!Thanks for the video Kat looked like a hot one out there!

Bring a hardhat when you go :-) He was rippin indeed, lol. We need to race that dude!
Thanks so much for that Kathy. Beautiful looking tunnel. I was so relieved when you said you weren’t gonna keep going thru. Nothing is worth your life. Thanks for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care

That's a nice explore! I got wet feet last Tuesday getting some photos of a creek in the Hills. Sometimes it's worth it. 📷

Indeed it is! Just a pain to walk back with wet feet, lol.
I lived right up the street from this tunnel. We would explore this tunnel and area as kids. There's also a small tunnel that goes under the road.
Let me know what you think of this explore in the comments below 🙂
It looked rough when Cliff went thru 3 years ago. The enterance seemed cleaner but that collapse always worried me. We need DD’s big flashlights 😉

Ha! Loved comic books. 😀
Glad you were safe with the way that tunnel was collapsing. Great video.
Oh wow, they need to barricade that tunnel off! I'm glad you didn't go thru, not worth the risk, good call! Sure was a beautiful structure tho. I had the privilege of exploring the Factoryville Train Tunnel, the entrance was very similar, swampy and lots of brambles. Thank you for the very brave explore!

Indeed 😀
Glad you didnt risk it. Thanks for sharing. Also I think that bikerider should have been on a racetrack instead of a rail trail.👍🙂🙏
Was there in the spring of 2017 looking for a geocache before I started my KZread channel. I was through the whole tunnel. That collapse in the middle was tricky to climb over. And they were just starting to construct that hill you had to climb down when I was there.

I knew about this tunnel for years, knew of the flooding issue and thought with the minor drought we're having might have dried it out a bit, so I took the opportunity to visit it. Did you visit the steel place too that was across the street that's mentioned in the video that I visited a couple years ago? I'm curious how bad it dwindled over the years before they leveled it...it was a part of that rail trail.

No. I didn't visit the steel place. They didn't have any geocaches there so I didn't bother to check it out.

That place is sittin on G an waitin on O...its about to GO! Don't do it! But if it was me, I'd get a running start and don't slow down, screaming like a sissy until I hit the other side.

Love that phrase "...sittin on G an waitin for O..."! Screaming might be a bad thing though, it might cause the collapse. 😱
