Abandoned mobile home

This abandoned mobile home has a rather sad story as to the reason for it's current condition. The home owner was a woman living alone who suffered from obesity and also had health concerns affecting her quality of life/mobility. She unfortunately passed away due to her health issues and it appears that no family came to claim the home. All of her belongings are still left in the home with time and weather beginning to take there toll on the entire location.
At some point vandals went through the location looking for valuables as items have been carelessly thrown on the floor. The location appears to have been abandoned since early 2015 approximately. The items outside the front of the home appear to have been later dumped at this location after it was abandoned.
As a urban explorer I enjoy going to abandoned locations but I always try to be respectful of them as it once meant something to someone. For this reason and for safety, I did not push the explore into the back half of the home. This location shocked me as well due to the amount of belongings left behind. Maybe some day if natural decay provides access to the rear of the location I will return to do another explore.

    What would I give to be able to live there, in peace, with my animal's, buildings and a garden to support us? A dream of mine for sure.

    Yes, it's unfortunate that abandoned locations are left waste away when so many are in need of affordable housing.

    I require a lot of trees...1x I moved from Cali with my husband to AZ...Just about everywhere we lived there weren't many trees...then we moved up in the mtns to this really dirty. Neglected house...lots of trees...I cleaned up the inside of the house and then the yard...weeds were as tall as I was 5ft 2...it took me a month but I did it...then the owner sold the house out from under us...I was fuming...I hope he got a good amt for his shack......I guess I'm still mad that was 30some odd yrs ago...

    Wow 😮… it just goes to show you that life is short. And all the material possessions that we have. Are only borrowed. Once you draw your last breath. Everything is left behind for someone else to go through and keep or rot away. And this is a very good example of that. Thanks for sharing this video.😊👍

    Yes, it was. It's located close to a highway, but you can drive by and not notice it for the trees around. I think that is why it hasn't been tagged up/more vandalized.

    Yes, it doesn't take long for the elements to destroy a cheaply built structure once the moisture gets in. Agreed, I'm surprised the home is still standing and hasn't been bulldozed for a new development, it's in a very good location. Thanks for watching!

    It is very sad. But where did all trash outside come from when the house is still full of trash. I do understand this is not how left. Somebody did all this after person gone. Why I don't understand, it would not make me feel good to destroy something like this?

  • @takingthebackroadhome

    @takingthebackroadhome

    I think the trash left outside was dumped there by someone not wanting to pay a fee to properly dispose of it. I see a lot of this on backroads, people will just throw there garbage in the ditch etc. I don't believe the trash outside was related to the home based on the children's toys, as no children lived at the location as far as I am aware. Thanks for watching!
