Cool video

The Summit Giant eagle closed Wednesday, March 22, 2017. They opened a bigger one on Interchange Rd (by the mall) on Thursday, March 23rd 2017 on Interchange Rd.

I used to work there while in college.

I live in Northern Indiana now but I was in civil service. In 2004 I had arrived to Wheeling island in West Virginia, for food relief. I got to learn PA and Ohio, the Tri-State. I like Pittsburgh. You had both Giant Eagle and Big bear. I enjoyed shopping in them. Fond memories

I rember when it opened. We played roller hocky at night, good times.

The giant eagle is now a john V Shultz clearance and outlet

I was at this location a month before it closed, they moved to a location closer to the mall. They relocated. The old one was better and bigger than the new one they built. I work at a giant eagle store and the one I work at is currently under renovations. They are nice stores

Living in the Dakotas and Minnesota there is always Super Targets and Walmart Supercenters. Bigger stores include Cub stores and Coborns including Cashwise or Hyvee.

i remember being in one only once and the one i was in back in 2006 is in new kensington just close to tarentum pa. its sorta like every other major or big grocery store

The Sam's club next door to this is probably one reason why this closed

Used to work at that one, it closed along with the one on 26th street cause of the new one at the mall. this store closed march of this year

I have never seen a giant eagle that looks like that, that’s cool! My local giant eagle actually used to be a Big Bear Store and it’s the same building as the big bear, and my local Kroger market place was a Big Bear Plus.

The giant tiger/ gaylords in the cleveland area giant tiger was originally named big bear but the founder rebranded it and then went out of business in 1984

That Giant Eagle closed in 2006

There are only two Giant Eagle stores in Maryland, and both of them are in Frederick!

There was an abandoned old school Giant Eagle in Erie,PA on Peninsula drive next to the abandoned Kmart! Probably already did that one though.

I work at giant eagle and yes the price are high but Quality is worth it though in my opinion

I still work for Giant Eagle. I used to be based out of that store. No giant eagle doesn't own the property. Yes that back bay was for vendors and yes not far from your guess is where the store ended. Not sure who the landlord is but if you found out they also own the old country buffet building. They may let you in yup film if you give them a promo

I normally go to my local grocery store(community market) aldi or giant eagle depending

They closed this one and opened one down the road and across the street. My sister-in-law who lives in the area just emailed me and verified it! On Buffalo Road where this is. I believe the new one is bigger.

I’ve seen an abandoned Giant Eagle before...it was right next to a burnt down bob Evans that lasted for probably ten years or more

I hate Giant Eagle a greedy company and over priced product always glad to see one closed

This on W 8th St? Used to shop there when I didn't feel like making the trek to Wegman's!

OMG! I loved Wegmans when we lived there! I think their bakery dept caused me to gain 20 lbs. The bread smelled sooooo wonderful when you walked in!

@@aishbacon4468 There was one in Lower Burrel Pa Wallieb26 did and the one in Winchester Virginia He did to so he did 2 of them i still watch Wallieb26 new videos

I feel that Giant Eagle Should get the same treatment as Microsoft because they are a Monopoly because they DID close that Shop N Save that you showed us that the building got bought by Giant Eagle because they didn't want any competition. They should be hit with similar violations as what Microsoft got hit with.

news89 True. They buy old stores,be in there for 2 Years or more then leave holding the lease like a baby does with a teddy bear for like 11 years after the closing

WallieB26 yes they closed due to the opening of the store on interchange. Giant eagle did not own the location you visted in this video. That was a rental, they own the land and building they are in currently.

Never been to a Giant Eagle but we ship a lot of pasta to them at my job

can see why there not there a walmart next door

Most of the Giant Eagles in Ohio have the state liquor store in them

So, this one is the Utah equivalent to Harmons.... very expensive

They destroyed my favorite retailers like Caldor, Bradlees and Ames so not a fan ether.

we have Kroger out in Kentucky, just as you said about Giant eagle Kroger is outragueously expensive! we don't shop Kroger unless we have to ether.

he did the one in Cleveland heights and the one in Garfield Heights both in cleveland area there's no more walmarts i believe in the cleveland area.

Giant Eagle is the same as Wegmans up in New York
