A Cocker Spaniel dog was abandoned in a small mountain village. The dog lived there alone for the past couple of weeks, only one person was feeding the abandoned dog from time to time. The village consists of just a few vacation homes and there are no permanent residents.
The person who was feeding the abandoned dog asked for help on social media but nobody showed interest so we decided to travel to the mountains and take the dog with us. We named the boy Charlie, he is very smart, playful and loyal dog.
We will carefully look for a good person willing to adopt Charlie.

We are Stoyan and Dessy from Bulgaria. We are not organization, neither a shelter, we are just an ordinary couple with a big dream. Everything we provide for the stray cats is coming from our own pockets or with the help of donations from our subscribers. We have 4 cats at home, all rescued from the streets - Sopolcho & Bagheera live with us while Alexa & Rijo live with Dessy's mom, who has been feeding and caring of stray animals for the last 10 years. Bulgaria is a small and poor country with lots of stray cats and not enough kind people to take them in. Our dream is to build a shelter where we could take care of many stray cats with the help of Dessy's mom. Dogs are just emotional beings...like children. Their suffering and hopelessness is etched into their faces...they just want to be loved. That's all. Loved...and in return they will love you back doubly. Thank you for helping and loving this little animal. He went from solitude (terrible for a dog) to having a family and being loved....you guys are awesome!

What a beautiful Cocker Spaniel! They do need strict training because they’re rather stubborn and high-energy, but make amazing pets. They are incredibly food driven. My grandmother’s dog stole the hunk of meat out of a boiling pot of soup…mind you, the pot was hanging over an open fire😅.

Thank you for making this video, it is a great relief to see that there are people who care enough to do something out of their way to help. Plenty of abandoned dogs all over the balkans. I was born in Croatia and lived there for 36 years. Moved to Norway 3 years ago and one of the biggest reasons was the fact that i could not look at the poor abandoned pets anymore. It was breaking my heart. We saved 4 dogs from the streets and took them with us. When they leave us (they are old) we plan on taking a trip to the shelter and taking more of the ones no-one wants and give them a home. Society should be judged by how it treats its most vulnerable, and those are not children or elderly, they are the animals who are taken for granted and have no rights or means to fend for themselves. In all my travels across Norway i have never seen an abandoned animal. People from eastern Europe could learn a thing or two from the Norse. Doubt it will happen though...they have no shame nor remorse nor compassion, bar a very rare exception. I would like to thank all of you who do your best to help. And for all of you that just type "i can't even" or "oh it is so heartbreaking" remember: if you are not a part of a solution, you are a part of the problem. And please...keep the excuses for yourself, it is not easy for anyone to drive all day to save a pup, let alone take care of him for the next decade. Take care of yourselves, and be well.

Unfortunately, the situation in the Balkans is the same. Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, etc. have a huge number of stray cats and dogs. It's simply uncontrollable. And no measures are taken by the states. That's why those who love animals do what they can within their power.
