Abandoned Chevron - Tolar, TX
Ойын-сауық
Abandoned Chevron - Tolar, TX. This is one of those roadside finds I love. These vintage gas stations with that southern and western feel to it. Can only imagine the types of cars that stopped here for fuel or service over the years. Really hoping for a positive outcome for this little place to see life again whether it needs rebuilt or can be salvaged.

You rarely see old gas pumps like the ones at this old place. Thanks for doing a video here, wallie.
I'd love to find one of these old pumps to have just for a collectors piece. These are the cooler of the old pumps IMO
Old school is cool. Wallie's gas express!
Although urban sprawl has contributed to the growth of major cities, I hope that this town will have a brighter future than just this. Same goes for a lot of other rural towns out there...
That old chevron station looks like its been abandoned for at least a good 20 years if not more but yeah whoever might take over the place it would be cool if they could get those old gas pumps running again lol awesome video bro 👍
Love it Wallie keep up the great work 👍
I live here and the old building were great camp outs and the old chevron place nobody really messed with it in years but tolar is a really great town.
I remember gasoline pumps like this when I was a kid. Been so very long I've forgotten about these old gasoline pumps. That is amazing. It's nice to see young people appreciate old things as this former gasoline station. 🙂👍
Love the old gas stations! Great video! Thanks for stopping and filming!👍👍
thanks for sharing wallie these old gas stations are really cool
Good job 👌 👌 on the video
Love these old gas stations, don't find to many anymore thanks for sharing.

Born and raised not burn lol
Old gas stations are one of my favorite things in the world oh, and those old pumps are gems. As far away as the Chevron pumps were from the building, it almost looks like they were part of a different gas station. Especially since the pumps in front of the building had a different logo on them. Good stuff as always. Thanks for taking us on your adventures with you.
That was cool Wallie , really good segment.
Cool find Wallie..I also like that kind of stuff too.
Good video! That sure is an old Gas station and gas pumps too. I haven't seen gas pumps like that in years!
Good job 👍 Wallie
I used to live in Beallsville, PA and the Amoco station across RT 40 had pumps like those. Sometime in the early 2000s they were removed. BTW your video of the old garage on RT 40 and PA 917 in Scenery Hill is one of my favorites. I passed that place twice a day for 11 years and always wondered about it.
I absolutely love ur videos u put together some good stuff and kayla to she puts a smile on everyone's face
These seem like they are EVERYWHERE! That Chevron looks retro AF too!
Love seeing this video
That was a very cool old place
Nice cool find.
That looks like a cool old town
Very cool video
How could people dislike a video they suck, u r the best man
awesome video
Dude this was a really cool place to film, I was dying the whole video, made me want to go down there and film it myself haha
That town reminds me of so many from the 80s. The pumps away from the building would be self serve. The ones at the building would be full service. I remember a lot of those gas stations from my childhood.
Old gas stations can be cool and interesting to see. I wonder if someone was sleeping on those mattresses at some point.
I live one town over. I don’t go to Tolar much. My cousin’s funeral was in that church across the street. She was in her 20s and died in a car accident on one of the back country roads in Tolar. There were so many people at her funeral that the church couldn’t fit everyone in there. People were standing outside for the service.

My condolences to you. She will always be there with you, in your heart ❤️ .
good video 👍
It is awesome having Sheetz, GetGo, and whatever other business are out there. All at the same time it sucks though because the smaller businesses end up closing up shop. The pumps were cool you don't see them like that anymore, that was a great find brother.
A really great video, Wallie! I'd say that Chevron gas station is at least 30 to maybe 35 years old. I'm going by the roll over numbers for the price and gallon on the pumps.
In seguin tx the restored all the buildings down town back to how they looked years ago. Really cool. Little town outside of san antonio. Theres also a little country store that has gas pumps like that that still work.
Thanks🎃
Good find, good find. There’s a place close by where I live that looks similar to the Chevron. It was a barber shop 10 years ago & it’s currently used as a living space The corner you’re on definitely looks like something out of the west. They’ve seen better days, though. If you find yourselves in the Butler County area, I know a couple places for you to check out.
That rock building you walked in. Use to be a dry cleaner. It caught fire in 2016 or 17. That chevron use to have an old car in it.
That was cool
If I'm not mistaken property is generally worth more than the building. More than likely who ever buys will possibly rebuild. Thank you for sharing Wallie!

Considering the condition of this building, the land is worth more. But if the building is in good condition, it's almost always worth more than the land.
theres an abandoned Phillips 66 near seguin chevy. across the street from home depot to the left. it still has pumps, signs, and ads!
1970 s maybe I remembered these.
I like the video of a chevron in Tolar, TX. hi Wallis 26 we have some of chevron in cedar city Utah.

Chevrons
great old station....there's one just outside of scottdale pa.. has even older pumps , I was told the station dates back to the 1950's possibly the 40's ..the station sits abandoned due to some sort of property dispute between family members that own it
Last time I saw a Chevron was in the early 90's on the way out to California to deliver motor homes from winnebago plant
I live and Tolar and I saw you in the street but didn’t know what you were doing lol
Great video the gas pump that said regular that means the gas has lead in it.
If that building could tell the old stories! I flash listen.
I’m from tolar. The place you think was on fire was. It was a dry cleaning place and it caught fire a year or two ago. And since we got some things we are updating some of our old unused buildings.

It has also been abandoned since I can remember. So maybe around 27 or more years.
Believe it or not I have never seen any stone building that look like that in my whole life before looks kinda cool tho.
This old gas station has potential 😀
Cool 😀
Haha thats my town about 3 or 4 years ago the building that you said it looks like it was on fire was a laundry mat that caught on fire and there used to be a whole bunch of people that owned those old buildings and used to have a bunch of different stores in them the last big building next to the burnt building used to be a shop for resales and stuff like that tolar has a bunch of history in it if you go out driving you'll come up on the original school from like 1901-1919
A lot of young people now days don't appreciate old buildings and stuff now days
Those pumps look to be early 1970s for sure.
What is your connection between Pa and Tx?
looks like it was a Kerr/Mcgee, after chevron, its on the Premuim pump in front of the station
Gonzales tx is really cool to.
I have friends in Tolar tx.
My area in New England, usa has a few gas stations like this still open
I can probably get you in touch with someone that knew the owners or managed it. I grew up in granbury and lived in Tolar for a while. Town has a ton of history
Try and come back to Jackson Tennessee lived here every since I was born
That's Rush Turner's old gas station I grew up in tolar
I kinda doubt the tanks would be fixed underground for the gas pumps
And they didn't move up the street that's the Meyers Quick Stop they've been there probably just as long as that place has
I live in this town
You can tell it's really old because they still had a pump for leaded gasoline.
Is chevron gas stations still even in business anymore
