In Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna) in the municipality of Bettola is the castle of Erbia, in a state of abandonment and now a total ruin, situated on a hill 650m above sea level.
URBEX - In this case, I did not do a real urban exploration instead opting for some external shots of the place, which in itself, also because of the threatening weather, was a bit sinister 🙂
Castello d'Erbia - According to the inscription carved in stone of the tower, the foundation would have taken place in 1400 on the initiative of the Giureconsulo Pietro Nicelli who certainly wanted to create a valid outpost capable of precluding access to the road that led from the Perino Valley to Val Nure. Unfortunately abandoned for decades to its fate.
