Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Join in with the Turnin’ Rust Crew as they dive into this abandoned 1971 Ford Mustang. After finding this car sitting up for over 20 years, the team decides to give it their best shot at not only reviving but attempting to drive this forgotten beauty back to the shop. Fighting their way through wasps, honey bees, and the Texas heat, the guys have high hopes of seeing this once prized muscle car moving under its own power. Will the guys be able to make it home or has this Ford breathed its last breath?

The editing of this video was outstanding, switching between your two head band go-pros, Christian’s camera, and car mounted cameras. The soundtrack kept perfect pace. Truly professional!

@@KB-ke3fiThere is no so much fascination with old cars enywhere in the world as it is in the USA. The reason is simple: the country is young and most of its modern history can be tracked with American cars. Most of twentieth cantury cars in the USA were wildly different from those built elsewhere. Thus they became classics.

A lot of folk dislike the '69-'71 models, but I kinda have a thing for the oddballs. I see these models as a nice transition between the 60's "pony cars" and the later "Mach one" big-body cars. Great to see you guys saving another piece of history!

Brother, your ability to keep calm after being obviously lied to is incredible. Looking at this car, I can't see anything worth a thousand dollars. I'll pray for you and your dad to be able to do something to get square on this deal. It's a shame that folks lie like they did. God bless you.

It looks to me like as a parts car the only thing of value is the engine, and they created all the value in that engine. I think I'd want the owner to pay me to take that thing!

Extremely impressed with that old pony with not only how easily it started up but how it made the voyage back with minimum issues after setting for who knows how many years. A testament to the durability and fortitude of cars of the era. Hopefully I can attain one one day!

agreed, driven unibody cars up in the snow belt not knowing until later how bad the floor under the carpet was....very NOT recommended. cheaper to tow a project home then smash it and have to replace parts or hit a human being.

When I was a kid, I remember my dad took me down to the south Philly shipyards to watch the "demolition derby's" - and to dirt track drag races in Eatontown Jersey - (you can see what a wasted childhood I had growing up) - THANKS for helping me recreate those WONDERFUL memories. I loved every minute of it - which is why I went on to become a high school teacher working on advanced degrees at Rutgers. I nominate you both for some sort of Academy Awards in film making and small town magnificence (a new category). Just be CAREFUL (I can hear your momma say). Peg in NJ

I used to think that getting old cars running again was the hard part and paint was easy, but the more I watch your episodes the more I realize that getting them running is the easy and quick part, and doing a total rust and cosmetic restoration is probably the hard part. This year I may get an early '70s GM squarebody that's been sitting for a while, and I really appreciate your methodical method of walking through the essentials to get things working again. Your channel is excellent edutainment!

That was definitely a challenge! Interesting how the upper part of the body doesn’t look too bad. Then when you look underneath there’s very little there. Being a unibody, most of the structure is the underside! You are a brave & lucky man to make it home! Now what? Thank you for the ride and Great video!

You boys near gave me a heart attack when you got under that car to hook the chains up and again when moving the rubbish out of the way. Tin hunting (car collecting) here in Australia requires a certain amount of caution or you might just get bitten by something very angry that decided to slither under there to get out of the heat. Well done on getting that old beast home, it was hard to tell if it would break down or break in half. You sure made it clear that it was hot but I didn’t hear the camera operator complaining😂. Great job and an excellent video. Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺

I'm sure a lot of the parts are available aftermarket to make it a cool driver. You are right... they are a rare sight..😮

God bless you guys, but I'd have given up on this POS (sorry), very early on. But, I give y'all a lot of credit for hanging in there and getting it further than I would have!

That's what the floorboards in my '64.5 coupe looked like. My dad and I replaced them with new ones, though. So much better. I've been getting all my Mustang parts from Classic Industries. Being that they're South of me out here in Nazifornia, I get my parts shipped to me quickly.
