At least 2 wounds. He has a permanent wound from destroying the ring that can't be healed, and you could argue that drinking the poison-water stuff is more than one wound because he went through multiple levels of damage.

one Ron Weasley beats Abaddon, easy. Ron has plot armor, and Abaddon has the opposite. it's a terrible matchup for Abaddon.

Abaddon has plenty of plot armor. He's a consistent recurring character across multiple novel series, including his own Black Legion series, is the literal face of Chaos Undivided and can show up anywhere in 10,000 years of established history. Not to mention that if he ever did died, he's more than earned the right to come back from the warp anyway. Nothing short of a primarch snuffing out his soul is going to kill him forever. But best of all, if he ever truly dies, that means no more models of him can be made, which GW will never allow. So he's immortal.

@@Hawk_of_Battle True. However! The question was not "can Ron kill Abaddon permanently". All that was asked was how many it'd take to beat him. And the answer to that would be "one, but later his defeat will be retconned to actually being part of his master plan".

This was equal parts awesome, hilarious and confusing

I don't know much about the tabletop rules, but like a default space marine or Custodian should get reliably 1 shotted from a single Avada Kedavra cast. I don't know how that would affect the scaling but it seems like a decent baseline.

I like to think that it’s similar to synaptic guns that deathmarks have, space marines still die but they last slightly longer than standard humans

Custodians are a lot tougher than regular Space Marines on tabletop. At the least, they have an invulnerable save, which by TomnBen rules gives you some resistance to magic.

Late to the party, but does anyone know the first instance of the Ron Weasley scale? Im assuming a base level of Weasley was set at some point to establish which Ron they use.

Hey now, Ron Weasley is 2W as a child and 3W by the time he's 16+. He's still a T3 human with no save, so one extra wound worth of determination won't do much. He can cast a shield charm though, I'd call that a 5++? I guess it all depends where you are in the series. 11 y/o Ron has no skills beyond "good at chess," 17 y/o Ron spent a year on the run committing armed robberies. I'd say about 6 Rons (17+) could take out Abby. Again, assuming they split up so he can't charge multiple Rons at once.
