What's made me quit ABA was solely the power creep. They really throw any sense of balanced design out the window when they make these new characters, press your move and you win the exchange for free type characters. Rukia'a freeze and kenpachi's waterfowl dance being two great examples

honestly rukia and kenpachi aren't the best examples, stuff like what they have has almost always been around, just look at Gohan's uppercut move being the infamous black hole move, and Kakashi being a runner's dream while also having a one shot move in awakening that's literally impossible to avoid.

I've been playing against Mt friends who are on controller and kenpachi is straight up unplayable against. Since they can lock on the waterfowl dance is a free combo no matter what they do. And his 3 is a autolock

aba has always experienced "death" but it never truly dies so there's no such thing as "death" for aba since all it needs is one decent update and it'll blow up

in lives its the person with the most kills wins. You could have 300 points while other person haves 1.5k but if you have 10 kills but the others have 5 - 7 then you win. They should've explained that for game modes tbh

the game aint dyin and aint gon die anytime soon but the ideas you suggest would feel help pull new players and add to the loyal playerbase great video

Tbh pts luffy is the one of the best beginner friendly character on this game (i might nerd out here but bear with me). He haves 2 moves that does hyper-armor and leads to a massive damage combo, he haves the most easiest combo to understand in the game (you dont even have to learn ladder or uptilting), but his awakening is even more of a monster. His gear 3 is just the icing on the cake for beginners. Ive legit seen literal newbies with 1.4k points each match because of gear 3. Pts luffy is the best character for beginners. Hyperarmor combo starter that can latch on to you half away from the map, an easy 100-0 combo, and an ult that gives you a lot of points in matches. It would take you atleast maybe 5 - 10 minutes to get the basis of combos in the game.

Had a friend of mine play ABA for the first time, he had a general roblox fighter knowledge (He played Heavens Arena) but his main complaint was about the starter/cheaper characters FX werent as good as all the top tiers wed go against

yes ,its hard at start but if u got lvl 10 and start playing ranked , you will see ppl doing downslams and learn how in practice

Lack of content yes MORE GAMEMODES would be fun. Tutorial for coming players so they don't come in confused (like me on 2018 during it's free release) I am not asking for that much, but at least some bosses or gamemode would be nice. The only time I felt refreshed on aba when they added Tatsu vs Mob event

Eh they are working on rewords and even hold polls on who to do so I think it’s fine, but what I think they need to do is push updates a bit more, they take months but not because of the sheer amount of work but because they up and decide when they wanna update

i have played ABA quit a bit and i have had fun with TS Goku and Grimmjow i love how ABA has so many characters but at the same time a small roster i have been designing my own game and instead of limiting myself on characters i have over 100 chars (im not counting i just know i have atleast that many) for my final roster and 2 free chars on release over 7 animes and im planning on doing Reworks when certain anime stuff come out i have also implmented alot of stuff from other games like Ultimates from Heaven Arena but also Awakenings like ABA Evasives Air Combos Assists and so much more i honestly feel so much joy when making this game and its been a passion project of me and my best friend we both have diffrent Anime knowledge so if i know one thing about a anime he might know another example Fate my friend has seen and Bleach i have seen. when will i release it idfk 2024 2025 when i can be bothered and not a new One Piece char every 2 mins Edit: i did it i havent added a One Piece char for bout a month. game still isnt out now

It’s also quite annoying that 1v1s are locked behind level 10 which means you would have to deal with TDM shit even more

I just quit aba like today and if they dont change I probably won't be back and I think a lot of people will quit soon too, I hate how long it takes them to create new characters and when they do create them, it's super op, super spammy and kinda just seem rushed and dont really make sense.

I honestly don't like playing ranked because of the fact I often get matched up against players way out of my league or players that have degenerate play styles or players that are just super toxic it's not fun at all.

I feel like aba would benefit from a new game mode of some kind imagine a game mode where it’s a race that limits mobility and has certain characters as so their are not many mobility moves

i was LITTERALLY about to comment after the video that ABA is in the EXACT same state BH was like a year ago, untill you litterally mentioned it couple mins later. In my opinion, brawlhalla has been in a depressive state for a while, but seeing the competition multiversus was to them a couple while ago, they began improving the game with more content, actual useful tutorials (not the goofy "how to jump", "how to kill", how to sig" and you're off tutorial) better weapon balancing and everything. so if BH can do it, i fully belive ABA can do it aswell, they just need some pressure i suppose. ( coming from a 2200 (i will slap you up) )

I remember when I first start aba I got completely demolished and I quit the game instantly(later I learnt and kept playing the game)

it's just unhealthy for a game to have most people coming back only on updates, it don't got a backbone. The combat lacks the other essential mechanics like evasives, then it's just either about getting 100 to 0 from a single combo or people just run the whole game playing cooldowns, just needs improvements to be a stable game

I personally don’t like overwhelming animations it just gets old to watch it over and over again with more of a quick and basic attack it’s not a constant wait for it to finish not against makeing reworks just don’t want some over the top animation like other anime games

Imo if they just add hype characters (like beast gohan or luffy gear 5 for example) they will be good

also with the power creep, its basically non existant in ranked because basically every character has a 100-0 and only like 5-6 dont

All I’m saying reworking old and certain characters to make them more viable and making a tutorial for the game may be a start in the right direction

I think there should be; 1- A tutorial 2- A set of public servers restricted to a certain set of levels with restricted characters (so no Iskandar, Madara, any character(s) that make public servers hell to play really) 3- idk bruh a boss raid mode or smthn for skins n money and the such

As for that first part. The game is pretty much show don't tell. Its not like aba is so hard to learn that you can't learn through a few matches like most people do. The only thing your not gonna learn with ease in ABA is specific character differences(Low hp or something like higher m1 day)or laddering.

If only they tried some of that, ABA could do twice as much players as deepwoken has (the only game they truly care about). I love ABA too, thanks to ABA I found some amazing mangas/light novels I wouldn't normally find anywhere else, and I just got a great experience overall.

I've always been wishing that ABA was more like brawlhalla, used to play ABA like everyday from 2018-2020. Discovered brawlhalla and now got like 10k hrs 😭

nah i think the problem is that every combo is the exact same just ladder press button and repeat with all your combo extenders, very flawed system that lot of games do

Just show different colours of hitbox and revamp old char can make the game good

The only reason i still play Roblox is because of ABA very sad to see such a good game die

ABA have no turtorial so that why newbie be walking into this battlefield of mayhem anh massacre anh get rekt most of the time. because of this newbie player tend to leave the game but the few newbie who stay tend to have an odd determination , they want to get stronger they want to be better , being good enough to not get treated like a freshbie they wanted to be the BEST player ... it because their EGO say so their ego make them grind to get stronger each kill is like a reward for them so when they lose it hurt their ego anh became toxic so yeah that my theory on why aba so toxic

Reworking is something really good tho there are a lot of casuals who wanna play their favourite char but can’t because they are dogshit in game

wouldn't say it dying it still average 1k +players daily the thing is they like to work alone they don't all come together and work all at the same time it's like they all don't work together this is why updates take 2-3 months it's ridiculous when they do drop a upd the game average like 10k-40k depending on the character they need to add more content the only reason why it has stayed relevant because of their roster of like 100+ characters I barely play I'm a prestige 7 who only come back when its updated.

Its not dying. The game is like an addiction. The balancing in the game does not matter. Snake and par will nerf and buff whenever they want. (Will literally nerf your characters because they lost to them)

The battlegrounds game trend is CHUNKING at aba man. There just better quality, better combat fighters, but aba is diverse so that helps. The reason I stopped playing was just better quality fighting games, and games coming soon like AXS or shonen unleashed

It’s just a matter of time, A new anime fighting game will be great on release, Then people will forget about ABA and it’s clunky gameplay. It’s bound to happen some day.

THE THUMBNAIL IS A PIANO

Despitw how many other battlehrounds games there exist and how many are currently in development... Lets be honest, none of them are ever killing aba. The game has went for over 6 months without updates and was still averaging 2k-5k ppl everyday. Not only that, but aba just has this weird smoothness to it's combat that just makes it alot of fun and that many games tried to reproduce but never could. Sure... It may not have many players rn (last time i checked there were 4k ppl playing) but this exact amount is pretty much the average quantity of players the game has had for years now. Plus, if the game really is dying it isn't something exclusive to ABA Many roblox games barely manage to stay alive for long enough before eventually dying. Deepwoken itself is heavily reliant on the weekly updates to stay alive.

How did deepwoken get a tutorial before aba 😭

I quit bc all the characters are so repetitive, and the coins are so hard to get, the graphics are so bad too every anime game is 5 years ahead of aba in graphics, and the same rinse wash repeat content.

It does not have to stay afloat better battleground games are coming out :/

I don’t know about you, but I despise the combat in Aba. It has good hit box and the m1 trades are fair. But the thing is, ABA has janky combos and it’s guaranteed for your combo to bug out unless you are a actual sweat who bought a $1499 pc. What I mean is that they should rework combat. It feels so old, unlike other games like Shounen unleashed, Heavens arena, and Anime showdown.

You missed the fact that aba struggles with actually releasing good updates every 2 years and you 100% forgot about how little they care.

do the devs actually wanna fix it? the game has been a thing since 2019. should be about time it rests
