people dont i honestly think he's suffering the same curse? as clipse. They're dirty but the beats (in my opinion) holds them back. If clipse came out with dj premier or swizz instead of those star trak beats from pharrell, they would've poped even bigger. Look at grindin, that's the most "boom bap" sound pharell made and it's still one of their biggest contributions.

Kendrick himself said that Ab is the lyrical genius of the group. He's a better wordsmith, Kendrick is a better story teller. Lyrical hiphop vs Poetic hiphop. Respect them both, let them both eat.

Oh my god, I was gonna respond to that top comment too. And you sir, took the words right out of my mouth. Great analysis. I agree, Soulo's raps were on top as usual, but it wasn't quite the all around classic that Kendrick produced. Section .80 was amazing. Ab soul's outro goes so hard.
