Thank you for the review. I look forward to hearing about the magpul setup
Thanks for taking the TIME you did to explain everything!
Thanks for the in-depth review. It seems like it's a pretty good product, but not great, like they included some real good features found in higher end products but either skipped over or didn't think about quite a few others. I can tell that this review was NOT rushed in any way, but instead that this product was VERY well tested. This video shows a level of commitment to quality that I find very reassuring. Thanks for the excellent work.
Wow I like all the observations. I have seen other channels give it "thumbs way up.' Can't wait for the version three review, good review brother.
I would love to see a review of the Gen 3. I believe they have addressed everything you spoke about.
good specific detail performed.... explaining application of... per applicant - people size... good job
Brother Awesome ReView on this Chassis! Outstanding job! Best Regards!
My MDT polymer mags fits 10 rounds and the first chambers like the last. It did however take a couple dozen cycles for it to loosen. As a side note, my MDT polymer mags feel like they feed smoother than my Accurate Mag and AICS mag.
Thanks for the review John. I have one of these, but since I'm a pretty big guy, I expected to have to make some adjustments to get a good fit. The length of pull issues are not a problem for me due to my size, and I always assume that I will need to replace the grip with an ergo grip I found on Amazon (have same grip on my Ruger Precision Rifle) due to the size of my hands/fingers, but the one I found gives me a repeatable grip and the option to rest my thumb on the same side of the rifle as my fingers. The only other issue I had was the comb height, and a couple minutes with a saw and a file to allow it to slide up another 1/4" solved that problem.I may in the future come to be annoyed by some of the other less optimal features, but for now I am happy.

+hdmungeryt I also forgot to mention that I initially had problems getting my Timney model 512 trigger to slide in, but that turned out to be buffoonery on my part...I didn't have the mounting pins on the trigger centered properly. After I fixed that it slid right in...
dig the new into music.
Reference: other controls inside the trigger guard. Good point, but M-1 and M-14, but they have heavier trigger pulls.
I just got a McRee chassis because AFAIK it's the cheapest chassis available. It came with an A2 grip, and I'm using it because I don't know any better. I have to use it on my service rifle anyway.
Great review...very professional. Drop a resume with AB Arms as an R&D consultant. They could you use you.
Does anyone know when or if the Desert Tech R7s chassis will come out? Would also love to see a review on the Mega Orias chassis!!!!!
The timney trigger fits. X-rings channel and sootch00 channel use the timney trigger
Mod22 review? Thanks for the detailed look. A few more pennies saved and I'll be ready to do a chassis. I'm still leaning toward the X-Ray.

+Gun Sense (drmaudio) Working on the review of the Mod22
I like it for the budget is great rifle
Nice, any idea when they'll release gen3?? Thanks
What kind of suppressor cover are you using?
Any plans to update the 10/22 build?
Great review! Can't stand the chassis at all though. For an $800 chassis it just has way to many short comings as you pointed out. Any company that has to go through 3 different gen's just to get the basic stuff right has no place in the precision world. They should scrap the entire line and start from scratch with what they've learned thus far in my opinion. Looking forward to the magpul stock review, although i have a feeling it too will have many flaws such as flexing in the forearm.
Great review john! What do you think of the Magpul Hunter 700 stock? compared to the bell and Carlson replacement stock used in the budget precision series, do you think this stock may be a more sufficient replacement?

+sean byrne or maybe even the Archangel Precision stock
Hello and good day to you and family John. Hey I wanted to comment and see if I can get some feedback. I recently purchased the AB Arms Mod X Gen lll for my Remington 700 Sps Tactical AAC-SD in 308. My plans aren’t to be adding and changing hardware. Designing it to my liking for hunting deer and long range shooting. I couldn’t believe how simple this chassis was to install. The install went flawless but the standard grip it came with has to be upgraded. Slender is a word for it. Let’s say I have small hands but this is a no go for me. Only part I didn’t like. In your vid. Scope sits high. And mine well needs new rings as the front section hits. My main question is simple. I have several 700 rifles and debating the scope mount for this puppy. I’m thinking QD base that’s sits as lowest I can get it to rail. My question is this. What do you suggest for least amount of accuracy loss. QD Scope Mounts or larger Screw mounts for the scope. I’m putting 50mm scope with 30 ring size. So example. 30mm scope rings QD scope mounts Scope 4x16x50 with 30 mm rings size? What do you think would be best. I know you hate the word best. But let’s say. What scope mount and ring style do you suggest for my chassis? Also. I plan to get a suppressor. Suppressor for recoil reduction and noise reduction. Which top 5 in your opinion do you recommend. Thanks. Going to be doing more shooting this fall and beyond since it’s all I can do these day. Fighting cancer and just living life best I can. Anyway. Thanks for the advice in advance. Thanks. A friend in Pa Donny
midway has the gen 3 on sale for $534
Its too bad they don't make a chassis for the Remington 700 long action magnum.
hmmm... think i am happy with my xlr element chassis.
5 minutes into the video to realize this chassis is a no go
How about the Jewel?

+Victor Z Once we have had a chance to work with it.
What magazines fits good on this chassis? MDT, PMAG?

AICS fit, as do MDT. The chassis was headed back before we could check the Magpul mags.
I might have missed it... But did you talk about how it shot?

It will allow the barreled action to do its job. Click the link in the description and you can see a target photo from a factory Remington action.
seems like someone didn't do their homework when they built this chassis
J'en veux une maintenant avec tout ses accessoires maintenant et quand je dit maintenant c'est maintenant et vive l'Amérique et vive la couronne britannique
wow who designed this, some non shooter on a computer and never did any test rigs to work out the bugs? I also wonder how a non shooter would deal with the design if they could adapt much easier then a seasoned pro.
John your a gentleman and you were trying to show ups and downs, but sounds like you should have just saved 25:45 worth of video and said it was a POS. Cool they were receptive and are going to fix it though
Oakley Tombstones?

+Big6Duke Possibly. I have a pre-production sample. I can give my impressions, but the production versions should actually be a little better.

+8541 Tactical doesn't have to be fancy just a 3 to 4 min initial impressions on a MCM maybe...
So it doesn’t accept Timney Triggers, doesnt accept 0.25” lugs... you’re spending $800 why? An absolutely serious question.
Just stick with McMillan
Tough love John. But that's good, make them cut their teeth. Lol
Looks like very poor ergonomics overall, and certainly not very well thought out. It does look cool though.
