Just got my AA wireless device for my 2020 F150 this weekend. Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and so far, no complaints or major issues. For those of you who may be considering ordering one of these devices, be prepared for a bit of a wait. As we're all aware, the world is a dumpster fire right now, and supply chain issues are still ongoing. I think I ordered my device in September or October of 2021, and just received it a few days ago. Just be patient. They're doing everything possible to get these devices into the hands of their consumers, but it's gonna take some time. In my opinion, it was absolutely worth the wait. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

Now tested over 6 days and every time I get in the car the system works flawlessly! Only the phone gets a little warm because of the data transfer, but doesn't use the battery much more than usual. So highly recommended!!

I received a surprise today that I had forgotten about. Two AA wireless devices I ordered 6 months ago, one for my 2001 Chevy Tracker and the other for my 2009 Chevy Avalanche - both have phone charging pads. I upgraded both vehicles with Kenwood head units and soon discovered that my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra loses USB connection if you don't use specific USB cords. It took less than two minutes for AA Wireless Bluetooth to pair in both vehicles with no lag in google maps and Amazon Audible. Because I won't be unplugging them in the vehicles, I tucked the dongles away behind one head unit and the other underneath the center console - in either case, they both work flawlessly when I start up the vehicles. The Audible book playback starts up where I left off, and google maps are wonderful. The only hiccup encountered is that AA Wireless will not work if you have a VPN service running on your phone. AA Wireless uses encryption for security to communicate with your head units...the way I got around it was to use the split tunneling feature on NordVPN to exclude AA Wireless Bluetooth services running in the background.

I just ordered one today. I kept trying to buy the Motorola, but the scalpers keep buying them up. Then I discovered this device. It sounds better than the Motorola. Especially the fact it has a detachable USB cable.

VW Touareq CR with Samsung S21 Ultra After testing a number of different brands of Wireless dongles, I was actually done with it, promising everything but only misery. But if I have something in mind, it must eventually happen, so I searched further. AA Wireless dongle should DEFINITELY work well according to its makers! So after a bit of e-mailing back and forth, I ordered it anyway. Received the AA Wireless today and of course immediately tested! Installing is very simple, just download the App in the App Store, then just follow the steps shown in the app. I immediately updated the dongle to the latest software, that was also without problems. In the system in my VW Touareq CR from 2019, after the entire system has started, it starts immediately. Just a side note, I have a Samsung S21 Ultra with 5G for the connection. So here's to VW and I think also the other brands of this concern, finally a working wireless Android!

Just got mine too - Mazda CX5 2019. Initial boot it didn't seem to show on the screen so I tried to update and that failed. Rebooted the device though and everything worked - has been perfect since.

Yep, was a V12 Vantage S which had been upgraded to the AMi III infotainment system. Really lovely car, but I sold it last year.

Do you pay import duty on this, or is it from GB

since it is connected to the wifi on the AA wireless....i remember you said you had to manually configure the phone to use internet on data only? I just want clarification there

This varies from handset manufacturer to manufacturer - on my Huawei handset I had to enable an option for using 4G when my WiFi connection doesn't have internet access. On my work phone I don't need to do this - it does it automatically.

If after setting this up and we want to use the regular plug in method afterwards, will we have to switch the android auto setting back?

Nope, you can use wired Android Auto just fine.

Mine keeps disconnecting, android 12 Samsung Ultra It's really passing me off... I've turned off Auto reconnect in bl I e tooth wifi and other things people say... still it disconnects atheist 2 or 3 times per road trip

Will this work on aftermarket radio like kenwood that has AA and CarPlay?

It should do - only on Android Auto compatible headunits though, it doesn't work with CarPlay.

Find the "WiFi+" options in Settings and enable the "Switch between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data" option - this will allow it to use Mobile Data when you are connected to a wireless network without internet access.

If the infotainment system supports Android Auto then it should do.

Well I Got A Question I Have A Nissan Maxim 1996 And The System I Have Already Has Android Auto Apple Carplay So My Question Is Would This Work In My Car Be Cuz I'm Really Thinking About Getting One Just Wanting To Be Sure It Would Work Tho

I can't get youtube audio only to play through my car's speakers with the aawireless device even though it plays fine when my phone is connected to android auto via USB cable to the usb port.. any ideas how to fix this? I listen to music and podcasts all the time when driving and this is very frustrating and want to return the device for a refund

Just got mine and it is just keep looking for android auto in my Bluetooth it shows it is connected but on wireless connection from phone it is not connecting to Aa wireless asking for a password

Tried to email to get some help but all I got was password for my device which did help connecting to wifi from device to phone but still I have been trying all options one by one all usb option from app and pass through, 2.4hz wifi, I am frustrated and feel like wasted 100$ for nothing. It's actually garbage

@@p0go598 I had the same issues after a month or so. I just got it working. Be patient. It started working after enabling this option "add wireless projection to settings" from Android Auto developer settings(you can access it by tapping the version of AA 10 times, after that tap the 3 dots in the top-right corner and you should see "developer settings" (see utube video). Reset device forget device on phone and add manually. After that it started working. Solid Blue light instead of the constantly flashing green. I hope this wasn' t a fluke and it will continue to work.

@@jerryvandinther8553 Mine is Brick i got some response back from them saying to return it, I tried all of that which you mentioned above. So when I said I got password after that I updated to whatever firmware was there to download so right after that day AA wireless email came to not update to blah blah firmware it will brick your device Duuhhhh I already did and I bet many other people done that too. So I need to return to them and hopefully I will get new one

How did it hold up after a year? Any problems?

Hi, since I got mine working I have noticed that the 4G won't work. The phone is connected to aawireless via wifi and bluetooth, but the 4g,even though turned on, only gets enabled once the car is turned off again and the aawireless is off. Is it possible to change the android phone settings so that 4G works as well as the wireless connection to the phone and android auto? Cheers

What phone is it? You may have to tell the phone to use 4G for internet when the wireless network doesn't have internet access - I did on my Huawei.

I bought 2 aa wireless and both don't work for my GS 450h 2014 Lexus and for the NX 300H 2017. I was led to believe that there would be a way but clearly it is not working on all cars. I have a Samsung so Android auto would have been great. I wish I had checked the compatibility first...

Do you not have the Android play store on it?

Will this one work on a 2099 Honda Pilot Touring?

I ordered mine end of April 2021 and received it in July 2021. They regularly update delivery schedules in their Indiegogo updates, but I don't pay too much attention to them since I already have mine.

I just connected to it in the Bluetooth settings on my phone.

No? You leave the little box in the car and then your phone connects to it wirelessly - means you just get in the car and go, no faffing around plugging the phone in or forgetting to take it with you after.

@@kaspertitus Yes, the adapter gets plugged in to the car and left there - the phone then connects to it automatically whenever I get in the car.

Looks like you need a credit card to purchase aawireless. I dont have one so i cant buy it.
