It's an injustice to a dancer if her full form is not captured in the dance video and Sujata Mohapatra is an Odissi Godess! Not capturing her full form during dance is very unfortunate.

We odissi dancers are very particular about not letting others take our music and dance steps...because the music is very expensive..also you are lucky that you are able to hear the whole music and see glimpse of Guru Sujata Mohapatra dancing otherwise in majority of odissi videos you'll see that they cut and edit the video and never give the full dance or song...

However it is very easy for me (being a odissi dancer since the age of 3 ) to predict the steps as well as hand movements...so i consider myself very lucky while watching this video LOL!

I thgouth the same thing, very annoying camera work. DO YOUR JOB TO CAPTURE THE DANCE, NOT TO SHOW US WHAT PART OF IT YOU DECIDE WE SHOULD SEE!!!!! Looks like the frustration of technicians who would like to be in the limelight. That said, I do appreciate the video and the part of the dance that we are permitted to see. At least it captures the essence.

The dance is extremely beautiful & dander is a very well-known great master of this art. BUT ITS SO IRRITATING SINCE THE VIDEO WASN'T SHOT PROPERLY. THE DANCER SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN FULL FRAME. WE COULDN'T SEE THE FOOTWORK!!!!!!

Cameramen need far more training, they dont have a clue how to capture a performance in its fullest glory. Ruined the dance of the great Sujata Ji. He needs too be sacked!
