I'm an alcoholic, this is my first full day sober in five years.I've been fighting not to drink the pint of vodka today with the dt's. I lost my wife and son five years ago. I came across this song when I was about to open the bottle. I just grabbed her picture and put the bottle down. Im listening to this and I gotta long road ahead to recover. But this song really helped me from fallen back. I need to get back up for my daughter. Thank you Aaron, I've been a fan since Staind.

Yes we take our parents for granted and as children we do not know until we are parents ourselves yes life can be cold and cruel our children gives us hope and blessing a gift of the lord As life goes forward We make choices and make changes to our lives some is from our own choices some are made for us that we can not help or do anything about and in this we reach up for help and guidance from the lord above Because we can't do it alone life now is Getting to complicated with agendas, narrative, and playing God with gender Wars ,financial markets, politics The world is difficult for sure man made hell For sure ....I only know this I'm not perfect And iv made my mistakes the lord has always been with us we chose not to seek him thinking that we could do all things with out him and that isn't true we can't make it with out him he alone can change this hell that man has made ....

When you can listen to a song and feel every powerful note all the way down to the core you've lived loved and lost.

He actually wrote this whole album with friends. One friend in particular came up with the title of this song on his way to Aaron's house, and the rest is history.

If you've lived it, then you know the pain he's felt. And I am sorry for you going through all that.

I can not listen to this without crying! My soulmate has terminal cancer and his days are few. Been together 22 years and Its not all been a bed of roses but I'll be lost without him! I'm trying to be strong. It's so hard at times.

He gets better and better as time goes on. Will go down as one of the greatest musicians of all time

I'll be praying God lay's a blanket of grace and love over your life and family Aaron, all these amazing songs coming out and the lyrics are wonderful, heartfelt, deep, and meaningful. I don't know what or If your going through anything or what you have gone through but God is doing great things through you. Keep your head up and keep the faith. P.s. God bless you.

This side of Aaron Lewis is so amazing Staind was awesome but This new Era of his music is heart felt

10 years ago I died a sinner… God brought me back for a purpose. It’s crazy how things work but I ended up on rocky roads and was put to a choice. I chose God. Never will I stray again.

Agree. He kills me softly. BTW my daughter's name is Zoe Jenae , she is older than his Zoe Jane . She is currently missing and I am raising her 11 month old son. 😭 Today is my father's birthday may he rest in piece.

This song reminds me of my husband who took his life 15 years ago. It killed me when we found him and the verse " I am so lost without you, I'll survive but I don't want to" really hits home with me. Just kill me like you love me one more time. Gone but never forgotten RIP Wayne 12/17/65-1/18/2007

I can't even begin to express what this mans music means to me! This is his best album yet!! Every word seems to touch my soul in ways I just can't put into words. His music has gotten me through all the worst times of my life where I honestly didn't know if I'd make it another day. We seem to share the same demons and his music let's me know I'm not alone in how I feel. He just has the amazing talent to put it into words and beautiful music! Beautiful song. Despite having just gone through a divorce where there was no accusation of cheating, I simply can’t bring myself to that place of feeling like this about my X. After literally DECADES of emotional abuse directed at me, I am left only to wonder why I remained Biblical about my Vows and Marriage. I never filed for divorce. I can only pray that God brings a much younger woman to be my wife and lifelong friend; and that I am blessed with the longevity to give her as many happy years as I have had terrible years.
