Aaron Fechter Gives Me A Tour Of Creative Engineering & The Rock-Afire Explosion

This week I meet Aaron Fechter and he takes me on a tour of Creative Engineering and watch the Rock-Afire Explosion perform.
Sets, Streets and Eats: A Travel Vlog. Traveling thru cities in the USA, visiting movie sets and locations and enjoying great food along the way!
I head to Orlando Florida this week and meet Aaron Fechter, CEO of Creative Engineering. Aaron shared the entire history of his deal with Robert Brock and Showbiz Pizza Place. He gives me a tour of his factory and showed me where he and his team created The Rock-Afire Explosion and many other animatronic creations. I felt like a kid sitting in Showbiz Pizza Place again. I hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane as much as I did!

The weird part about people not really caring about the rockafire explosion i guess is because of chuck e cheese just not giving a fuck about the animatronics which use endoskeletons from rockafire itself

What a trip down memory lane! I worked for Creative Engineering in 1979 or 80 building the control boxes (repurposed file cabinets) and the original recording studio was a small room with miles of wires and carboard egg flats on the walls. On Fridays, Aaron would personally pass out paychecks and a baggie with tokens in it for everyone to go to ShowBiz and play. He was so excited and enthusiastic about his "babies" it was hard not to share his vision. I believe the warehouse is off Church Street in Orlando.

This was by far the best tour of the warehouse I've seen and I've seen many. You put a lot of extra effort and details into this video and your personality was easy for Aaron to work with and build off of. Though the best factor for me is that during the tour rather than just having the camera only focused on Aaron you panned around the room quite a bit giving us a full perspective of everything around you. Thanks for the great video!

That Anti-Gravity Machine might have gotten some business in the 80's, but people were already emailing in 1996 and PCs were flying out the doors of stores. He was about 10 years late there.

In some other videos, he reveals he was actually using that machine in a slightly less advanced state internally inside Creative Engineering and in ShowBiz Pizza restaurants in the mid-80s. With so many restaurants (~300), it became very difficult to communicate information to all of them without hiring lots of people to make phone calls all day. This, along with needing to communicate with 325 employees, was the real reason the Anti-Gravity Freedom Machine was imagined and invented in the first place.

I dont think hes wrong in his assessment, the internet had already been created by the us millitary decades ago and was public by the time aaron made the gravity machine, so he would've had to compete with dells and iMacs that could do so much more on the mainstream internet in no time

Just fair warning: The tour's expensive ($200 [for a single person]-$400 [for a small group]). But, given how much it takes to maintain regular upkeep of the RAE & the revolving door of ideas Aaron Fetcher constantly has (that he says he'll get to, but often can't find the time -- and certainly, money -- to do all the things he clearly wants to do, much like Walt Disney before him prior to dying of lung cancer in 1966 & Jim Henson concurrently alongside him until the Muppet founder's untimely death in 1990), it is understandable, of course.
