Wow I just realized that Katara had the privilege of teaching waterbending to two avatars in her lifetime. She's been indispensable to both ATLA and LOK. I can only imagine the joy she felt teaching Korra the same things she taught Aang, and seeing that same glimmer in their eyes.

I..... I can't right now...... I feel so heartbroken. It's like I really lost a friend. I grew up on Avatar the Last Airbender. Aang and his gang really became all of our family when we were kids. We, in a way, where with them through their whole journey. The fact of seeing a potential storyline of Aang's death just kills all of us TRUE avatar fans. Now that Aang, Sokka, Appa, and Momo are gone that only leaves Katara, Toph, And Zuko. And that's the hardest part knowing they are the last living members of the original Avatar gang. Korra has her friends and family in her series; But she will NEVER have the bond Aang had with his friends who ultimately became his family.

Damn......that line, "I if had lived 100 years earlier, I never would have met you!" was AMAZING. Almost made me tear up! Whew.......AVATAR (series) was the best! Good video!

This hit me hard. But I had a feeling him freezing himself for 100 years would of been the reason he did at 60. I still get the feels when I see him in the Legend of Korra when when finally enters the avatar state. Avatar Aang was best Avatar 😢

@Zekanark, but his ending in the world of mortals is one I feel the fandom would appreciate. Iroh's redemption arc revolved around the siege of Ba Sing Se, atoning for his sins of imperialism and conquest that took the life of his son along with so many others. To show his grave at the hill where he celebrated in Lu Ten's birthday in The Tale of Iroh would be magnificent. Knowing Rising Fist, I can almost guarantee that will be the final scene. His knack for visual poetry is a defining trait of his style.

Katara and Aang will be reunited again. Its only right after all they have been through. And Katara still wanting to heal him even though its too late breaks my heart a little. Ever since she was a little girl she always believed in the Avatar. This was beautiful. Aang really did accomplish so much in his time. I think a lot of us will remember not only his highest points like defeating Ozai or creating Republic City, but also the times when he was an airbender who just wanted to have fun and be friends with anyone he could. “Thank you for penguin sledding with me Katara”

I know it's weird,Kyoshi found secret earth bending technique that keep her young from 1000 years old master also bumi in relatively good shape at roughly 115 years old at least twice of his teammates indicating same mastery why aang unable to do so.

The fact he even made it to his 60s after a century of constantly expending energy just to keep himself alive just shows how great his condition was. There was really nothing more he could have done, it was a tragic irony that the thing that saved him also robbed him of his life.

And with today's announcement that DiMartino and Konietzko have formed Avatar Studios with Nickelodeon and Paramount Plus, with an aim to "expand the characters and the world with new Avatar content," (and with their first project due to be an animated feature)....maybe we will. Not joking....this is real, announced today. It still might be too much to hope for, but as far as I'm concerned, let them do whatever they want later on....FIRST, I want an Aang story. Aang as an adult, as prime Avatar. Married to Katara, with Bumi, Kya, and Tenzin as kids. I don't care if it's a movie or a limited series of 10 episodes....whatever. That's what I want and all I care about seeing. If they give me that, they can do whatever they want afterwards.

Geo Mejia nothing the era of good cartoons are gone 80-90s early 00 ( that’s pushing it ) are done. Kids don’t watch tv anymore they watch IG snap fb Twitter tik tok. Times change era also. Those are different times now abc nbc fox cbs do not show cartons no more nick ytv CN is basically shit. You got better chance following Japanese anime to catch good cartoons not as great but better then the crap playing. the excitement to wait 1 week until the next Saturday/Sunday fir the next episode is done the trill of patience the waking up in the morning it’s over. For those who enjoyed lucky fir the others well even with KZread you won’t understand.

@Alex Luca uhhh Jin the conqueror died infront of Kyoshi, i would say she knew she had beaten him. She even says she doesn't see any difference in whos fault was his death (to aang on the lion turtle). So obviously not a regret, i think kyoshi would regret creating the dai lee as they would be used for evil later.

As Dragon ball z and Avatar fan, I love to watch Avatar and this video, try to make me sad and cry.

Katara's hair being grey makes her look older

I imagine Aang dying in a hospital bed with with family and friends around him. I imagine seeing Katara, Zuko, and a young Tenzin, Kya, and Bumi crying. With Toph, and a young Lin and Suyin also there watching in grief. Aang’s final words to Katara being “K-Katara, the next Avatar will be from the southern water tribe. Train her, teach her her native element. ... See you in a little bit Gyatso... Katara... Thank you... for going penguin sledding with me...” Every time I think that I think I’m gonna cry

Yeah but did you know the creator even said when the avatar dies so does their pet the spirit animal so he admitted that Appa exploded when aang dies just boom explode and gone

We now have a whole studio dedicated to this franchise. So proud. Love this

This story is so sad but realistic. I wish we got a canon episode about Aang’s passing. But this story was amazing.

I just wanna say something aang was the best avatar ever and when he’s in the avatar state he looks so cool I’m sad he’s dead but I know when katara dies they will be together :D

Actually Aang and Katara won't be together in the afterlife. Aang was reincarnated to Korra. But Katara will never be reincarnated like her husband.

OMG i love it. This is how I always imagined Aangs final moments to be, but seeing it so perfectly drawn and written still touches my hart. Truly wonderful

I cried when Zuko said he’ll track Aang down one way or another 😢... so many memories

The old Zuko's voice is similar to my grandpa whenever he's chasing my brother with his belt.

ATLA was and is the best show I've ever watched and holds a special place in my memory and heart , remember coming from school ASAP! just to watch it , I was 8 at the time , and I always wondered what happened to aang before he died , until now , and what you did was AMAZING shed a tear tbh , I know it's fan made but WOW GREAT JOB❤️

Omg i did not expect to cry like this 😭😭😭 Aang saying if he wasn't in the iceberg then he would've never met Katara is what started breaking me. The rest came flooding out. I imagine Appa died short after from heartbreak 💔
