Lyrics -
[Intro: Missy Elliott]
Love it babe, love it babe, love it babe
Love it babe, love it babe, love it babe
Love it babe, love it babe, love it babe
Love it babe, love it babe, love it babe
[Verse 1: Aaliyah]
Baby, you don't know what you do to me
Between me and you I feel a chemistry
I won't let no one come and take your place
'Cause the love you give, it can't be replaced
See, no one else love me like you do
That's why I don't mind to spend my life with you
I wanna please you in anyway I can
I wanna share my world, don't you understand?
[Hook: Aaliyah]
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
[Verse 2: Aaliyah]
Turn me inside out, make my heart speak
Need no one else, you're all I need
Personality and everything you do
Makes me love everything about you
Your smile, your style
Is so fly, I can't deny
I got a crush on you, and that is true indeed
I'm diggin' you, you make me believe
[Hook: Aaliyah]
That your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
[Bridge: Aaliyah]
I'll give you anything you want from me
Anything you want, anything you need
Anything your soul desires
I'll give you anything you want from me
Anything you want anything you need
Anything your soul desires
Anything 'cause
[Hook: Aaliyah]
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
Your love is a one in a million
It goes on and on and on
You give me a really good feelin', all day long
[Outro: Missy Elliott]
Love it babe, love it babe, love it babe

MJ, Whitney, and many others didn’t produce or write all their own songs either. Prince did though. Still, Aaliyah brought life to the music and she was the inspiration for it. And she was hands on in her career, so she was working with her team. And she did say in an interview that she wanted to start writing songs. Aaliyah wasn’t just a pretty girl that let others do all the work, she was an artist who knew her stuff. Very smart.

@@TikTokForYOU346 First of all, I do not understand why so much agressivity was put into this comment, as I simply stated my love for an artist that I just discovered. I am not American, neither is my culture influenced by it, which means that discovering new artists from a different influence is totally normal, and is not mandatory as if it won't affect my life if I choose or not to listen to them. So please, next time, whether it's in real life or through a screen, put this energy into your life and your business, instead of arguing with a teenager. Good night.

Aaliyah is the blueprint. Point blank period. Rest in Heaven Babygirl. 🤍

I saw a young woman, half my age, wearing an Aaliyah shirt. When she came into my register line at work, I told her that she had good taste in music. We proceeded to have a short but poignant conversation about Aaliyah, her music , how she was a trendsetter before her time and how much of a bigger star she would have become had she lived. When you have 2 women, from 2 generations talk, rave and long for more of the music. That’s when you know the truth and depth of her talent. She was indeed 1 in a million. RIP Aaliyah.

The Timbaland effect. His production was ahead of it's time. So when you go back to it either for the originals or for samples as we're seeing in songs now, it's right on time.
