A600 Talon Private Helicopter Fly From Your Driveway

Have any questions about the helicopter or interested in buying one? Contact myplane@mojogrip.net
Rotorway is one of the few helicopter kits you can get to build a 2-seater helicopter. The A600 Talon featured in this video is a fairly new build by an engineer. He spent about 500 hours total building the aircraft. Most of the major components are already welded together which saves a lot of time.
The A600 helicopter uses a coverted Volkswagen engine with a power output of 168 HP. This is the turbocharged version. If you go for a standard A600 kit, then you’ll be down to 147 HP. The helicopter will climb at a respectable 1000 feet per minute and you are cruising between 80 to 100 miles per hour. A brand new A600 Talon kit which includes the engine runs for about $160,000
Engine: RH600T 168HP
Capacity: 2
Useful load: 620 lbs
Range: 200 miles
Speed: 90 - 100 mph
Price: $160,000

@@MissMarinaCapri I hear your call but reallity is most helicopter flights are short hop or scenics so not a lot of call for long haul thats what fixed wing do best. Beefing up the fuselage to accomodate more fuel compromises in two ways firstly added weight for structure and fuel which secondly reduces payload. This particlar experimental model is weight restricted so there is only so much you can do to stay inside the MTOW

Nice video. I was a Maintenance Test Pilot (Helicopter) and Aviation Safety Officer in the Army for 32 years. Home built helicopters make me a bit leery. Helicopters are very complex mechanically. There’s so much shit that can go wrong with the complexity of a helicopter. I just don’t think I could trust flying around in a toy knowing what I know about Helicopters.

I prefer walking up to my crashes rather trying to climbing out of them!! LOL!!! Although a few years ago my oldest daughter bought me a great flight experience. I got to fly a real Extra 330 for about an hour. It was a blast. They let me do loops, rolls, and some other crazy dives. Pulled about 7 G’s max. What a great experience!! Thanks again Vanessa!
