A500 Plus Cartoon Classics. Revisiting my youth!

browsing eBay, I came across a computer I'd not seen in years, The Commodore A500 Plus Cartoon Classics pack. I had this very pack as a 16-year-old way back in 1992, so I snapped this example up, hoping the battery hadn't damaged the motherboard too severely. After all, it's been 30+ years since this machine was new. Could it still be as much fun as I remembered?

Yeah. I still can’t believe my luck on this one.
I have two 500+s the first one was very damaged by the battery and took considerable time to fix. The second was like yours, it was in perfect condition and looked brand new. The battery was just beginning to leak but no damage had been done. There was also no yellowing of the plastics.

It’s weird how some machines seem to suffer worse than others.
Great looking machine. Good to hear you are going to keep it in original configuration too. That internal shielding is the best I’ve seen, my own A500+ was pure rust.

Yeah I was shocked by how nice this machine was. It’ll be a ‘go to’ machine for me once I have more room :)

What a lovely machine and what a cozy video! ^^ Just what I needed to start the day haha It's indeed super lucky that it's in such good condition, but it's kinda bizarre that the packaging of the games look very worn out for such a lttle used machine. All in all, great find! If I just may, the background music was a tiny bit too loud and it was sometimes difficult to hear you through it, unfortunately. Cheers!
