There is no comparison between A220 and the B737-7. Both are different aircraft types designed for different operational requirements plus the A220 is a clean sheet airframe design where as the B737-7 is a rehash of an existing 54 year airframe design.

@@oneskyflyer - Boeing doesn't have an aircraft type to compete with the A220. The B717 would have been a competitor to the A220 if it was still in production.

I agree there is no comparison, however they do actually compete. The A220-300 is in a fact a competitor to the 737-7 on the lower end. A few companies were evaluating the 737-7 and the A220-300 such as Delta and decided on the A220-300.
