On behalf of my generation, I understand where you're coming from. But for me, personally, I'd say each to their own. We all have our preferences when it comes to something, whether that be in fashion, food, or music. I, for one, have experienced change in my taste of music while growing up. The genres I like vary. There's Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary instrumental music (especially piano pieces or orchestral scores), rock, soul, jazz, funk, and a little bit of pop (just a little bit of pop, 'cause let's be honest, a lot of pop songs these days are overrated and repetitive). I don't like RnB that much but it suits my voice quite well (I'm contralto by the way. Meaning, I can pretty much sing tenor songs). Along with my preferences in genre, my interests in specific songs would also vary. A LOT. From anime songs to movie scores like that of Hans Zimmer, or John Williams. What can I say? I just like a wide array of music spanning many decades. And there's really nothing wrong with that. Because music, my friend, is universal. But the thing is, and the part I LOATHE the most about this certain topic pertaining to one's "taste in music" is: "Being a part of a generation often ridiculed, as we are most of the time, *GENERALIZED* " As one of the eldest of the Gen Zs, I'm sorry if a lot of pop/rap songs these days offend you. Even I take little to no interest in that kind of music. And yeah, a lot of pop songs these days are overrated and repetitive. They may be catchy at times, but can be really annoying when blasted on speakers 24/7. By pop, I am including American pop, Korean pop, Japanese pop, and even Pilipino pop. So the pop genre in general. I'll admit, I do like SOME pop songs, but I'm very PICKY about it. And let's be real here, *not all pop songs* are about sex, money, drugs or alcohol. Plus, there are a lot of songs pertaining, if not, alluding to, sex, drinking, or getting high, *back in the day* as well. And there were even songs that were just downright racist, sexist or misogynistic (not that those kind of songs don't exist to this day, which is all the more awful). They may not have used vulgar language to express their vices or desires, but in a way, they were still able to encourage people to pursue those things. Why? I mean, they ARE singing about how good it makes them feel. So impressionable listeners (such as kids or teenagers) would WANT to try it out for themselves. Now, if you really want great music with a good message produced these days, all you have to do is LOOK FOR THEM. I'll give you some examples of my pick of great artists of today: Sufjan Stevens, half • alive, Boy Pablo, Mitski, Aurora, Alice Phoebe Lou, Rex Orange County, Clara Benin, Over October, I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, Rufus Wainwright, The Ransom Collective, Luke Faulkner (piano and other instruments), Lucas King (piano synthesia), Morrie, Landon Pigg, Regina Spektor. And those were just some of the artists I named off the top of my head. I listen to these artists a lot, and a lot of their songs (not every song, of course) fit my preferences. So what I'm saying is: "No matter what generation you're from, if it's good music (according to critics or to you), it'll ALWAYS be good music (according, again, to critics or to you)." And if it's within my preferences (most of the time I choose songs which have melodies that appeal to me), then I would definitely listen to it. I can name other artists here from other generations, from the 40s to the 80s if you'd like. 'Cause their music is pretty great too. In truth, no generation is better than the other. After all, it's a partnership. An education. Passing down the music of an older generation to that of the younger one. And having that younger generation give a fresh take on it. There are artists of every generation that make pretty subpar or "meh" or just nonsensical music. And those songs filled with sex, drugs, alcohol, and money, with no underlying messages that teaches anyone anything good, are a part of those. A lot of people being "This is what real music should sound like." or "back in the day when they used to make great music." are just nostalgic for what they had when they were at their prime. When the next generation comes along, trust me, a lot of Gen Zs would also say the *EXACT SAME THING* about their music and the newer gen's music. In reality, you like songs based on your own preferences (like with melody, or lyrics, or genre), or songs you've grown up listening to (songs you were mostly exposed to). I, for one, still have varying, changing taste in music as I'm getting older and it may never stop. I'm always open to newer music as long as it fits my preferences. If I'm being honest, being a part of this generation is kinda cool. I get to enjoy the classics, and appreciate newer ones as well. Especially those songs that speak to my generation, to my soul. About our grievances with ourselves and society, Our struggle with conforming to what is perceived "perfect". Our failures, and hopes, and dreams for what's to come. What a time to be young, indeed. So overall, yeah, I am not ashamed of my generation. Good or bad music is present in every generation, so who cares? Okay, this one's pretty long but I hope you got that. Peace, love, and music, y'all! ✌🏻

Her exposure is mainly on KZread outside of Asia that is a fact! and for someone of this ladies talent and class I think it is ridiculous she should be being talked about and performing on all the global media networks and local country networks.
