You are on the right track, you just need the Sync 4 APIM for the larger screen with GPS, you can find the As Built data for similar build Bronco to find the differences between yours, and flash those with Forscan.

Ryan i work at ford and theres a special feature about the ones with the code on the door like yours, it’s actually not connected thru the door its 3m on, and if u take it off itll fit inside the fuel door. My boss did it on his, id suggest miving it there it looks more clean.

What I know is nowadays screen of ford and GM infotainment is just the display, everything is in the behind module. Sometimes one module fits all size display but needs different calibrations, sometimes you need to replace the module and flash it completely with your car options

Usually you have to upgrade the module for the radios on ford's. That's how it was on my Flex when I went to oem car play.

Look into Pac Sound and see if they have a conversioin kit for the Bronco. Maybe Nav-TV does too. Look into both companies

Did you look at the wiring from the APIM to the screen (I am betting it's 4 pins for CANBUS) which might still work, provided you get the wiring correct.

Hopefully you’re able to get it to work, but I don’t have any issue with the 8” screen. In fact, when you use apple car play on the 12” screen it doesn’t fill the entire screen making kinda pointless unless you run two separate apps at the same time. Also you eyes will hate you when you drive at night. The 8” is already too bright with the brightness all the way down.

Please post a video if your available to put the 12inch display at some point

All that to change the radio 🤣🤣 my 88 and 90 model bronco takes about 1 minute to get it out but I understand I like the newer Broncos

Alright so I’ve looked into the wiring diagram myself cause everybody says it can’t be done and we need to prove them wrong, the second plug on the screen is simply power and ground the bigger screen needs more power than the 8” also swap the cable to the 12” the connector on the APIM is the same so in theory it should work.

I think It can be done by now, but you’ll 100% need the radio module that’s for the 12” screen that the screen plugs into and the dash piece

no your absolutely correct the bronco stock speaker system is absolute garbage, that was one of the first things I started with.. even the cheapest name brand aftermarkets will make it sound allot better.

Go on KZread to TC customs and look at Mitchell's Bronco he's with a Ford dealership in Alabama I think but he has the same body kit and hood and everything on his Bronco too
