An overnight tramp along a partially snow covered Robert Ridge to Angelus Hut is a must do for those with the skills. This route is a very popular hike during the warmer months for experienced groups with stunning views in good weather. A winter traverse adds an extra dimension and arguably easier travel when snow conditions are favourable. The following morning we did a quick summit of Angelus Peak (2075m) before returning back along the ridge to the carpark. We were fortunate to have great conditions with both the weather and snow conditions.
