A Winter's Tale | Pursuing a 3lb Grayling | Chapter Eight
As we begin our 8th session of the winter in what seems more and more like an impossible pursuit of a 3lbs Grayling, we also near the end of our allocated window within which to target these fish. With every new session comes renewed hope, but as the number of these sessions nears double figures, we are very aware that we are running out of time.
Nevertheless, chapter 8 of ‘A Winter’s Tale’ provides a chance to explore yet another beat of this amazing river. There is no doubt that the effort levels are present in adequate proportions; all that’s missing is that little bit of luck that we all require when pursuing a big fish.
Will today be the lucky day?

Well in Alex, fish are definitely misleading just now, always worth putting on the scales just in case. Great camera work as always Gordon, made my night👍👌

Another superb video, as for the word of the day gralingy, I use the word Barbely, so why not, us anglers could make our own dictionary with some of the words we use at times. I’m planning a week up at the end of the year, never been before, I live in the north east of England so a lot of investigating to do. I must say I’ve really enjoyed your exploits over the past few months. You and I know exactly what will happen, you’ll catch the magic 3lb when you are by yourself and not filming, it’s always the way. Tight lines lads.

Great video as always mate, one question...can you fish a small maggot feeder or are you only allowed to float fish?

It's something we are looking into for next season. Not sure on the laws and rules etc.
