That her version *is* so simple and clean is why I love it. No ridiculous runs or changes to the melody, she's not trying to "make it her own". Easily my favorite version of this gorgeous Christmas hymn. As a Carrie suggestion, watch her perform at the ACM Awards with CeCe Winans. It was a gospel medley off of her My Savior album. It was a vocal masterpiece!

Great performers understand that sometime "vocal gymnatics" take away from the pure beauty of a song. The simplicity of her vocals let the beauty of the song shine. We all know she could have done so much more, but she showed restraint, showing her vocal abilities can excel even without the "fancy" embellishments. Such a beautify performance!

2021 ACM live performance and Church Bells live at the CMTs. I’ve been to 2 of her concerts. Her vocals are mind blowing!! When she hits those high notes she is locked and loaded!!

I have been to 4 concerts, and sounds even better. Amazing concerts. You can't go wrong with her songs. The best female vocalist in any genre.
