8:41 correction: akumapons aren't actually called akumapons, it's a fanmade term (apparently, the accurate name for them is dark ones). i didn't know this until today when i was looking through the patapon wiki allegedly, their suffix is -tan because of kuwagattan. i don't think one example is enough for ME to believe that, so i'll let you decide that for yourself.

Well there is one reason for it and he is called JJayJoker.

Patapon 2 was actually my first game in Patapon series. My parents gifted me PSP, and the first game which brought my interest was Patapon 2. Yeah, in most of part it repeats the Patapon 1 (the beginning missions, the final missions)

Yeah, me too. Even if Patapon 2 is very similar to 1 (the same happens with Locoroco 2, made by the same developers btw), it made a lot of life quality changes and added a few new things that perfected the formula imo. Yeah, it lacks innovation, but for me it didnt matter.

Can’t wait to see what he thinks about Patapon3 lol

Hey man great video! But you glossed over the fact that you get mask upgrades by playing the multiplayer missions which I find a super dope mechanic (albeit a very grindy one). I hope the that fan-made games devs are gonna watch these videos tho because they pretty summ up the problems of each game and what was fun about them

Good points, although i still believe that Patapon 2, in my opinion, is far better than 1 and 3. I never getting perfect rhytm too much, so i didnt feel OP (and much less in hard mode). The hero depends heavily on the masks, so if you dont level up or obtain new ones, sometimes can be weaker than the entire army. Or sometimes you have to change the tatepon class because you do very little damage and you can screw the rythm. You can get OP when you beat zuttankarmen but well, is an RPG and the developers expanded that esence of the first game. Patapon 1 was also amazing, but i really hate the permanent death in videogames. With bosses throwing you not so good items to compensate the death units it feels unfair. The only thing that i prefer over 2 is the story. I like much more than 2 and 3, just feels more memorable. And this would be very unpopular but i really hate Patapon 3. It expanded the core gameplay of Patapon 2 but is so unpolished in its difficult curve and it remove or change lot of things that i loved from the first two games. You made a really good video man, just i try to say that i prefer Patapon 2, for me is the closest to be a masterpiece.

I respect your opinion, but man, Patapon 2 is not overrated by any means. There´s a reason why its consider the best in the trilogy and thats why it solved practically all of the issues with Patapon 1, and is the most balanced game in the series, having the RPG mechanics of Patapon 3, but without overboard with them, and the army management of the first game. For me it wasnt op. Sometimes my hero was weaker than the army until i got it some rare masks..

the ending doesnt tell me u like patapon 3 that much...
