I love how this cast never get sick of talking about WW nearly 20 yrs after it ended. Any interview with Alison Janney, Bradley Whitford, Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe etc they are always so keen to share their experiences with their fans. This short play is an example about how they will will relive these roles for good causes and and I love that about this cast.

Gosh. This show. 1999-2006 it was everywhere with me. I’m a teacher so I would be doing a lot of paperwork. I’d watch the dvds over and over again. It was on the night of 9/11 Sydney time. The closing theme was sort of a bedtime alarm. Our 20 year old cockatiel still chirps when the closing theme plays. It was hopeful. Optimistic. Wonderful writing. Newsroom runs a close second to this show. But there will always be a special place in my heart for the message of the west wing.

Favorite episode was at the beginning of the second season "This White House?" And it wasn't because they introduced Ainsley Hayes. It was the way the White House introduced us to the drug companies and showed "their side" on the HIV/AIDS medication debate for 3rd world countries. President Nimbala was a fictitious president of a fictitious African country, but it could have been ANY Sub-Saharan African country being ravaged by AIDS and begging for drugs. It explained why it doesn't work (they don't wear wrist watches, they can't tell time.) No WAY would any democrat today say such a thing even though it is entire true. Because politics would dictate that they would lose their elected office saying something so true and so hurtful. But those are the real problems that our government faces with elected leaders and voters who are more emotional than rational.

I was only a small child when it was first around and after seeing The Newsroom and A Few Good Men in recent years I’ve had to see all of Aaron Sorkin’s work. This is my favourite by far. A few weeks after I finished they announced the special and I got what I can only imagine is a tiny piece of emotionality that the longtime fans of this show felt. I cannot wait for this special and I would love for the show to be revived but with Sam Seaborne as either the newly elected president or one of the front runners. The world needs a show like this now more than ever to see how politics should be done, spoken about and portrayed in the media to inform the electorates. We’ve lost our way

"The West Wing, Seaborne Administration ". Spin-off's of NCIS (San Diego, New Orleans) Law & Order (SVU, Criminal Intent) CSI (Miami) ; have been done, it's time for a West Wing spin-off. First it would start, as a miniseries/pilot, with Sam as a Governor contemplating running for President. It would have flashbacks (scenes with Seaborne and Bartlett) and currently talking with his Gubernatorial staff. In the last episode of the pilot/miniseries, it could have the flashback scene were Bartlett enters Seaborne's office about the intuitive feeling Seaborne will get later on to run for President, while wishing him luck on running for Congress. Then it would bring Sheen back as a cameo now aged former President, and Seaborne comes to see him on advice, and at the end of the pilot/miniseries; Seaborne announces being a candidate for President. Then the regular series would start as President Seaborne.

As a fan of the west wing I almost came to tears. To this day I truly believe in my heart this show is the greatest show ever . the west wing to me is the THE G.O.A.T.

To be honest, when I first heard of the original show I thought it was a very boring show, but after having to watch it in US Government class, I fell in love with the show and I didnt even get to watch anymore of it since the virus came around and I dont have Netflix at all...... I miss watching that show so much when the teacher didn't have any work for us to do other than to take notes of the show for future assignments

I binge the whole 7 seasons, in order, every Autumn (aka, 'Fall' in the US). The sets of the world around the cast is starting to look old, now; after all, more than two decades have past since three of the seasons were shot. But, the intensity of the human interaction and the crazy that is global politics never gets old.

The original cast was amazing enough, but Sterling K Brown always seems to make anything he's in better.

I'm in the UK and haven't had a chance to see this yet. Its drives me nuts whenever I'm reminded of it. A question to those who have seen it, is Sterling K. Brown good as Leo? He's always struck me as an intense actor which i don't think would fit Leo too well. Looks great, I'm just curious

Nice to see Bradley Whitford in reasonable shape again. I saw him in few things these last years where he was uncomfortably overweight. He used to have a boyish charm as Josh Lyeman and now he is the silver fox and it works for him. I am really curious about those special appearances that were teased here. The West Wing cast with Samuel L. Jackson? I can't wait.
