A Weekend in My Life | Back to hometown Batu Pahat finally | Batu Pahat food | Vlog
Had not been able to go back to hometown since early 2020. With borders opening up, had gone back to hometown during the 1 May 2022 long weekend.
Really happy to be able to spend time with mum, sis and brother-in-law as we went around to hunt for tasty food...
By the way, my hometown Batu Pahat is located in Malaysia, in the state of Johor, just a couple of hours away from Johor Bahru (JB)...

Places that we went for reference:
Day 1 Breakfast:
Toast & Egg at Hailam Toast, D'Garden
Lo Mai Kai, Breakfast Noodle, Fried Noodle at Z55 Kopitiam, Jalan Temiang, Taman Makmur
You Char Kuay at a stall outside Complex Taman Makmur (Taman Batu Pahat)
Day 1 Lunch:
Kuay Chap at Soon Lai Kuay Chap, Jalan Fatimah (Opposite Silver Inn Hotel)
Tapioca Keropok at the corner of the road beside Soon Lai Kuay Chap
Day 1 Cafe:
Coffee & cake at Niqiu Space at Jalan Jenang (few shops away from Ah See Wan Tan Mee)
It's a hidden cafe, so you need to search a bit for the unassuming entrance.
Day 1 Dinner:
Crabs at Jia Wee Seafood House, Jalan Temenggong
They also have air-conditioned outlet just few walks away.
Day 2 Breakfast:
Breakfast Noodle at Mee Siam Loh, Ground Floor, Complex Taman Makmur (Taman Batu Pahat)
Day 2 Lunch:
Satay + Bee Hoon from Cheng Hiang Kee Satay, Riverside Hawker Centre, Jalan Shahbandar (near to the T-junction connecting Jalan Rahmat)
Day 2 Spa:
Thai massage at Soho 99, D'Garden
Day 2 Dinner:
Poke bowls at Pokego, Jalan Penjaja
Day 3 Breakfast:
Porridge, toast and egg at Lao Zi Hao Pork Porridge, Jalan Abu Bakar (new location is near Bus Stand)

My friend is from there. She lives in Singapore now but she is in Batu Pahat right now visiting her mom's family home. The weather looks great. Currently -15c right now where I am, and that's "warm". The scary cold is yet to come. LOL

Wow... I am amazed that Batu Pahat is quite well known then? Yes weather around this region is always just warm or rainy.
