As a 74-year-old, it is also a pleasure to see you prosper in nearby New York City. If memory serves, I've followed you since before the war and later on as an expatriate world traveler. More than once, I wondered, as I saw you travel from one exotic locale to another if you would ever find a place you considered home, or perhaps a second home. Now, I may be biased or projecting my own feelings about the City where I was born, but seeing you against the backdrop of NYC, it sure looks like home to me, and I hope as you stay here longer, it will feel the same to you. It sure looks like you fit here.

You are doing such a great job. We have a saying in therapy: "Don't compare your insides to someone else's outsides." Meaning that you know everything about your own life and very little about some else's.

Distinguishing between 'male and female brain' is a myth

I am glad that you did well on your accounting exam. I was so worried that I would not maintain a "B" average when getting my masters that I would put so much time into it that I normally got an "A". I was in my late 30's to my early 40's in age and had not attended any business classes as I needed to take engineering classes to maintain my engineers license and maintain technical competance. ( continuing education) It is such a good feeling to get the "A". Have been to Niagara Falls twice in my life and had the opportunity to visit the Canadian side as you didn't need a pass port to do so as you currently do as a USA citizen. Have also been to the Genesee Falls and a few times to see my uncle who lived in a small town east of Buffalo, NY when I was a child. ( later he moved the Quad Cities along the Illinois-Iowa state line on the Mississippi River, the Mississippi River is very big and is almost like crossing a lake) Have heard that that the Mowhawk Valley is very beautiful but I have never been through it. ( I-90 interstate goes down the Mowhawk valley) I always used I-80 to NYC and the I-95 N to get into New England to see relatives who lived there.

It's lovely to see all the supportive responses on here when you have a break from your exam studies and it's really nice that you're inspired by that too - as inspirational as you are yourself already! Very best wishes on your p e r f e ct exam result and yes it's very clear you'll continue on your path of success! :) You've made a big impression on your examiner too!

I was wondering how you did during the rainstorm. Videos and photos of that storm showed up in the news around the world. Yes, it is necessary to take a break from your work at times to relax. It enables you to work more efficiently when you get back to it, and makes the work less stressful. Glad to see you are doing well. Take care.

Dari, I didn't doubt for a second that you would do well on your exam. You are a hard, dedicated worker when you set your mind to something, and are more capable than you realize. I so hope your adventures in another part of the state turned out well. You timed your trip just right, so you could escape the worst of the weather. 1:10 Washing $3 for 30 minutes. This is horror! We have a very good AEG machine (the AEG Lavamat was the first automatic washing machine in the world in 1957) and it is from Germany. It is a very bad thing to going to the laundry salon with dirty clothes and go back with half dirty clothes. This system is only common in America. An American entrepreneur came to Budapest and opened three such salons. It failed very quickly. Everyone here does laundry at home.

Dari could buy a laundry pair for her apartment but she would need to save up the money for it. More powerful washer and you don’t find yourself like in a laundromat throwing in good money after bad. Well worth it for cleaner and drier clothes!

So glad you got over the hump on your first exam. Reminds me of my statistics exam in my doctoral program. Leading up to the exam I was very nervous, but passed easily. Поздравления👏 on accounting! Tide is a good detergent. Some washers have a sanitizer selection, will wash longer. Really, a two hour wash, could damage the fabric

I was wondering how you were dealing with life in NY during the flooding. Thanks for posting a vid. You are a good example to people struggling in a subject. You spend a good amount of time preparing for your classes, which I don't think everybody knows how to do.

Hi Dari, I'm really impressed that you got 100% in your first exam! Just shows that hard work pays off so I am proud of you for your achievement - let's hope the whole term goes as well! We saw the rain in NYC on the TV and thought it looked the worst ever for the city, but just wait for the snow! Of course you can't spend the time to document every hour of your life in videos and you are quite right to prioritise your studies at this time - we want you to graduate with top honours! But also remember to take time off to recharge your energy levels and clear your mind so going out with your friends is also important (and also not working 18hrs a day!!)
