I love that you are experiencing another summer in Europe, first time with Georgia and now this time with sam. Also loved how comfortable and confident Sam has been in the travel vlogs we love to see it! These travel vlogs are going to be videos you will look back on, as life long memories as a long term couple now in your mid 20's, you will hopefully show your future kids. It's always so fun seeing my country through someone else's eyes, makes me really grateful I get to call this place my home ❤ I just feel like Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are super hyped, as well as the entire German-speaking part of the country but people never go to the French or Italian speaking regions which are truly spectacular too. You are truly the luckiest person. I visited there from the US last year because my heritage is from there and I fell in love instantly. My biggest dream is to come back and stay. So peaceful and beautiful it takes your breath away. I love the culture and history as well. I think about it every day.

A way to end a long day at uni during exam season. And as Austrian I can say: No worries everyone not Swiss (or from Vorarlberg, West of Austria) is struggling with their language. There is no way to understand, I could never, even speaking dialect myself. All this footage reminds me so much of home as well. But I love seeing how much you enjoy it. Oh and nights in the Alps are just always freaking cold, we can never sit outside during summer without wrapping ourselves up in blankets :)

@@SophieJayne but it left me a bit "sad" that you didnt take the gondola and went to one of the mountain peaks. yes they are pretty expensive but still worth it to go up there in my opinion.

Wow 🤩 now I need to visit!! I’m from Europe but there’s so many places to visit which are so different!

No worries about the language. I’m from Germany but I also have a very hard time understanding Swiss 😅😂 and I (sadly) learned something new: I always thought Lindt is from Germany but I googled it, it’s really from Switzerland 😅🥺 but I do love this chocolate soo much!!

The chocolate thing is true, even the same brand will taste different in different countries because they adapt the taste to the population and the laws. For example peppermint is a common ingredient in chocolate in English speaking countries but you will not ever find that in Switzerland. On the other hand you will find much more hazelnuts or dark chocolate with citrus fruits here. Same goes for the cocoa, milk and sugar contents of simple milk chocolate. A good example is Milka. A Swiss company that was sold to Kraft in Germany I believe, they changed the recipe for the milk chocolate and what happened was that Swiss people didn't like it anymore and it completely disappeared from our supermarket shelves but in Germany it became the number one chocolate brand.

Hello from Basel (Switzerland), you have trouble with the language? Is easy, German, ok, Swiss German (= difficult). Try it either in standard German or English, you shouldn't have too many problems there, because many people speak English.
