I went to a popular makeup studio in cheongdam and had the same experience too. the techniques were nice, but the makeup did not suit my features. It was like a copy and paste signature makeup on all their customers, which was a bummer. I had more luck when I did my makeup at some random shop in apgujeong

Ooh, I'm a summer soft, too! I think a softer season makes sense with your makeup preferences, hope you enjoy exploring the palette. I had thought I was summer light and am still adjusting to being SO soft, but some aspects of it definitely are appealing.

Judy, I think we are the same!! Though I haven't had my color analysis done yet (I hope to do it soon!) I have a very strong feeling I am also summer soft (that's the same as summer mute, right?) I also got my haircut similar to yours recently too 😂 you seem to have had so much fun in Korea!! Except for the makeup studio, how sad that you had a less than stellar experience. The photos at the photoshoot also turned out beautifully, I hope you asked for the original/ unretouched photos because I am sure they look even better without all the retouching done! Excited for your other vlogs and your full color analysis video 💜

yes same as summer mute! we're twinning hehe and with the studio - you get only limited photos and pretty much what they pick out!

i also did my color analysis in korea and im a light summer! lol i didnt think i would be that but it explains why i look so bad in autumn colors.. and it turns out my worst season is my sisters season 😭

Hi Judy, I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I’ve had a very rough year. There’s been sickness in the family, friendships coming apart, job layoff, school stress, depression, anxiety, and a lot of other stuff. But your videos really have helped me cope through all of it, thank you. Makeup is one of comforts so your videos have been so relaxing. Also, kaleidos, dasique, and Judy doll are great brands I tried this year!

Hey, would it be rude to ask how much u paid for the vacation? Like just a rough estimate and not split up in travel food etc. I m really scared of flying but ig i manage to get passt that i'd like to visit Korea.

tbh i think this will depend on each traveler! as me and my partner decided to splurge more on this trip - hence the direct flight, big accommodation, taking taxi = which can lead to our trip being much more expensive!

It is okay to do hanbok rental even if you are not Korean? I’m going to Korea in autumn and i really wanted to do hanbok rental but I’m not Korean. So I was wondering if it’s okay?

Hi, Judy, it seems very strange, in colorimetry the summer saison is for blond people with blue/green eyes and a cool toned undertone. So, if you have a pink undertone you are a winter, like you said before. Maybe the korean colorimetry is different, I don't know. Greetings from Belgium! 🤗

Korean color analysis follows different rules I think! I read from somewhere that in terms of hair and eye color, since we do not have naturally blond/red hair or blue/green eyes, Asian color analysis focuses on the variations and undertones of browns that is common in Asian looks, like ash brown vs. golden brown, reddish black vs. grayish black, olive vs. golden 🤗 or so I've heard! But many Asians can be classified as spring or summer season because of this!

Its defs different. Cuz korea is mostly east asians anyways so it would be dumb for them to use a color analysis where 75% technically speaking wouldnt match their population unless they dyed their hair. It operates mostly with just the face overtone i think it was???

Most human beings in general have dark hair and dark eyes. They can't all be Autumns and Winters lol

The system you mentioned does not work for people of colour. Majority of black and Asian people can’t be typed using that method (honestly it doesn’t even work on Caucasian people either, just look at natural redheads, not all are warm toned). Korean and Japanese color analysis are a lot more detailed and focus on different characteristics that are more suitable and effective.
