** MY SUMMER GUIDE TO SEATTLE **
DAY 1: Picnic at Alki Beach
~ Seattle has the best weather, views, and locations for a little picnic during the summer. Whether you're packing a cute basket with wine, crackers, and cheese or picking up Qdoba, you're bound to have a cute afternoon under the Seattle sun ~
Some of my other favorite spots are:
- Gas Works Park
- Golden Gardens Beach (great for bonfires and beach volleyball too)
- Discovery Park
- Volunteer Park ( there's an antique green house conservatory thats super cute for pictures)
DAY 2: Paddleboarding at Mud Bay on Lake Union
~ With the city of Seattle being surrounded by lakes and water there's a lot of water activities around the area. We may not have the prettiest sandy beaches but there's lakes everywhere and you're set if you find some friends with boats. ~
Other activities and places include:
- Kayaking/Canoeing - University of Washington Waterfront or Alki
- Argosy Cruises on the Seattle Waterfront
- Take a ferry ride for a day excursion to Washington's coastal islands like San Juan
DAY 3: Concert Night
~ Seattle is usually a stop for tours so if you happen to be local while you're visiting, might as well! ~
If not there are other entertainment options like:
- Sporting Events: Mariners baseball games, Sounders soccer games, Seahawks football games
- GameWorks Arcade
- Escape Room (different locations throughout the city, perfect group activity)
-Underground Tour in Pioneer Square
DAY 4: Pike Place Market and Wings Over Washington
~The Seattle waterfront is the perfect place to venture if you're here for a few days or even just a few hours. ~
Some places you'll find along and around the edge of the water are:
- The Great Wheel ( this a great option to do at night since its open til late)
- The Smith Tower or the Columbia Tower (great for views over the city)
- The Gum Wall (nasty but you might as well if you're going to be in Pike Place anyways)
