The first I read of his was Norwegian Wood which was a great one to start out with and a lot of people I know love The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (though I have yet to read it, hoping to soon!!), but my personal favorite would be Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage (long name, I know. I usually just call it Colorless or Piligrimage and have to look up the whole name lol). I read it during a low point in my life and it was exactly what I needed. Since then, it's stuck with me and I still think about it often. If you try anymore of his works, those are some good ones to go for! Happy reading~ Thank you!! Always a highlight of my day whenever I see you post. Makes me even more exited to read than I normally would be lol. 😊

this was the first book i read by him and i was told it’s way more toned down than his other books. i didn’t really find this one sexist, moreso blunt. but there was nothing offensive about it! i might need to try his other works and see if there are any differences in his writing :)
