Trying to cast my mind back through the codex of Doyle's stories but I cannot remember a spinning wheel featuring in any of them! :) There must be a regular stream of volunteers dusting all those ornaments and exhibits - not an easy task!

I as a lady 76 wish I could have a place like Sherlocks Studio to live. I live in Oregon. Or at least have a 12? or 14" x 3 feet of the studio and front door of his studio for my wall. Lol

In the video discription you say it felt like the 18th century. But Sherlock Holmes is written in the end of the 19th century and early 20th century.

gieltje309 Yes, you're right. I meant it felt like 1881 and that's obviously not the 18th century but the 19th. My mistake~

Was there last June. How did you get the place to yourself? Granted, I was there at the height of the tourist season, but we stood in a long queue just to get in and the museum was packed with people.

Ty McLeod I didn't get the place to myself. I just waited until it got a bit empty. Maybe I also had the advantage of less Sherlockians in early 2012 than there are in 2014? Who knows.. I'd love to go there again. *sigh*

not sure if I like this museum or not. as the furnishings are not Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's or original movie/TV props. I also expected a room dedicated to all the actors who have played the main characters over the year, whether it be in radio, TV or movies.

Museum is nice, but usually you have to wait two hours and pay 15 pound for a half an hour museum.

Well, I planned on writing what I want to do somewhen in my life, but since I'd be writing it under this video it's obvious even though I don't write it out I guess. I guess I also don't have to ask if it's worth a visit, do I? But let me ask one question: Was that French I heard in the background? Also, it's nice to know that one is allowed to take pictures like you did, or did you get in trouble somehow?
