A Walk Through Glen Ample, from Loch Earn to Loch Lubnaig

A hike in Glen Ample, with Strathyre Forest to the west and the mountainous slopes of Ben Vorlich on the east, within the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
The walk starts by Loch Earn, with views of Lochearnhead and the mountainous pass of Glen Ogle. Initially following the fast-flowing waters of the Burn of Ample, the route heads south, by the steading of Glenample, and continues below Stuc a Chroin on a forest track that eventually passes high above Ardchullarie More, with views down onto Loch Lubnaig.
We end in the tiny site of St Bride's Chapel, not far from the rocky crag called Creag a Chaibeil, which is Gaelic for Chapel Rock.
With an atmosphere of times past, and a feel of remote places in wild Scottish glens, the video gently takes the viewer by the hand and leads them through the sort of mountainous scenery that Scotland is quite rightly famous for.

Wonderful video Eddy, and a great area to have the pleasure of spending a day out. The Trossachs National Park and its surroundings is pure magic, I am envious of you having the whole place to yourself, although it did look a bit chilly! Your music is amazing as well and adds to the enjoyment of the videos. Thanks Eddy, and looking forward to more adventures, best regards, Rob.

Lovely lovely lovely, those looked like fruit trees at 11:00, the rocks and stones keep the warmth of the sun a bit longer than earth does so is good for plants that are used to a warmer climate than we get in Scotland. Used to walk all over there when I was in the terries, was a great time if you forget the waiting for transport, weather, sleeping on rough ground in leaky tents. Midges, colleagues farting, rations, carrying the radio, wet feet etc.

A couple of years ago I was at the same start of this walk. A pheasant kept following me, looking for some food. There was a small place nearby for parking a couple of cars then, but its now been closed off. I'll need to give it another visit and maybe try the walk during a dry spell. I'll give the pies at the Mhor shop in Callander a try soon. Great video.👍

I walked most of Glen Ample after doing the ridge from Beinn Each to Stuc a' Chroin, very nice. I have a non-waterproof DSLR and use an exped dry bag, clipped around my rucksack in a rolled up loop within reach and as soon as i feel spots of rain I open it, pop it over the camera round my neck and clip where the strap is, works a treat.
