One of the rare occasions I have a free weekend to spend with myself. There’s still a lingering feeling of guilt from being taught growing up that I had to be doing something - whether that was schoolwork, cleaning the house, working etc.; I’m slowly learning that the mind and body needs rest and that it’s ok to fuel it with things that make you happy. The stillness and feeling of solitude of these past few days will stay with me in times of restlessness.
Some of my favorite activities to do in New York is visit cafes and museums. The Guggenheim is on my top 3 favorites list and I’m glad to have spent a moment in the space.
