A visit to RAF East Kirkby

Welcome to todays video ,
We are in Lincolnshire today at the former RAF East Kirkby which is the home of one one of 3 Lancaster Bombers " Just Jane " .
On the day of our visit we were fortunate enough to see the Lancaster doing a tail down Taxi experience and it was quite something .
Come with us as we take a look around the ww2 Airbase and see what is there .
Thanks to all the new subscribers and to all that like and Comment .

Absolutely love this place, even have been lucky enough to have a ride in her. If you can make any of the event days they are truly awesome too.

Hi thanks for the comment , we love going there everyone is so friendly and the museum is one of those places no matter how many times you go you always spot something you didn't see last time you were there. We were lucky last time we went to see the lanc doing it's taxi runs ,I can't wait to see her fly . A small part or not you have had a hand in preserving history . Thanks again David & Shell

Hi , we totally agree its brilliant and one of those places you keep finding something you haven't seen before .. We have been a couple of times now there is so much information to take in on the hanger walls and displays you need to go back more than once . Its even better if they are doing the taxi days with the Lancaster . Thanks again David & Shell

Oh great stuff!! Love the independent guys who run these places - we have a few near us. Just little museums - one where they have a licence to find and excavate old plane sites. And loved the Mosquito. We Should have one on the Battle of Britain flight. Those Lanc engines 😍😍😍😍😍 I’ve realised what a privilege it was to see the two airworthy Lancs flying over Cambridgeshire a few years back. Absolutely love watching this 😍😍😍 You’d think humans would have learned something from history really 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Great share again guys - Thankyou

Thanks for the comments glad you liked the video ,. The centre is a credit to all that work there ,there is so much to see our video didn't even scratch the surface , its a place which makes you feel proud to be British ,standing in front of the Lancaster when it started the fire spitting from the exhaust made hairs stand up on the back of your neck and the noise !! , it also makes you feel sad for the may that didn't come back on both sides . But this is British History that needs to be preserved for future generations , we saw the Lancaster from BBMF over Haworth a few weeks ago and its just something spectacular . We are slowly finding these hidden gems so maybe we will be down your way sometime . Thanks again .
