I've been binge watching your episodes... you two are so perfect for each other. Kika, I love the music you chose while you were getting your blood drawn... It's clear to see how much you love your Dan... and well Dan... I love the way you are always with your sweetheart supporting her as she does you... Yep... the perfect couple. Count your blessings.... it's very rare to see such perfectly matched couples.

Kika, you are such a patient woman. It's unbelievable what you had to go through just to get your visa... Condolences on the passing of your mother.

My mother died of cancer in 2001. I can empathize with your loss and I am sorry to hear about it. I like to say after 20 years it won't sting as much but.... well life doesn't always work that way.

My mum has stopped taking her cancer drugs, past her use by date by about a month. You guys are living my dream, my wife left me, my kids are of the rails, I hope one to do a channel like yours with Dad and daughters LoL. Please put up with each other and work through whatever life throws at you. You two are a hope to humanity, I can't stop watching when I get time, thankyou.

First sorry for the loss of your mom, I've been through that so I known how bad it hurts, my mom died of cancer in 2004.WOW I never knew it was so hard to go to another country for some people. I guess having my American passport has given me such easy access to everywhere that I just took it for granted.

Kika & Dan - Lots of good information here. As an American, I didn't realize there was such a problem getting to different countries. The only real visa I ever had to get was to go to Thailand. Thank you for showing your uncle's business, I will be checking them out for supplies for sure!!

I just saw this post and I know this was a year ago, but I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I just lost my Dad last month, so I hope this last year has been a better one for you and your family.

We know how hard it can be to deal with such a profound loss. Losing a mother is second only to losing a child so I hear. Much love to you guys and I'm sending my best healing energy! Sorry to hear about your mum. It gets easier with time. But you never forget the good memories you had together even if bittersweet.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend, step father and brother at the end of 2013, my mother in 2015, and my father in 2016. I feel your pain. Remember the good times, bury the bad times and know she is always with you.

in some navies one is keel hauled ten times for spilling resins on fiber glass. Very lucky to have been unnoticed... Lol

Your wine glass reminds me of an elderly friend (sadly, long since passed away). The doctor told him to limit his wine intake to one glass per day. So he bought a bigger glass!

I know how it is with the government & paper work .I brought my wife & her 4 kids up out of Mexico not too long after 9-11 .I remember telling her the day before we were to go to Juarez, to bring every paper she had ever got plus toilet paper too.

Always Forward kika, we enjoy your positivity coz it is such a treat episode after episode, no matter what happens you both find a way to smile and move one with your lives. perhaps that is part of your beloved mom's legacy? if so, wonderful. sheesh, i know very little about immigration stuff. why is it that you have so many issues and dan has zero? not kool, when your both goin to the exact same places and there doesn't seem to be any hurdles for him. it is 2022, not 1940 ffs!!! we hope when you get married the bs changes. be well 🐉💅🏾#fairwinds

You learn as you get older that when someone puts up a road block like the French in this case, always ask if there is any other way they know of that you can accomplish this (a visit in this case), would they tell you.

So sorry for your loss. But please help this girl that you love so much and marry her to give her some more freedom. She is worth it!!!

I'm assuming that healthcare in Haiti is a cash deal, or at least it seems like it would be. What about for more serious issues which may arise for either of you, how does that work? Great story you are telling, I'm really enjoying the journey!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. It awful when you loose you mommy it really hurts inside your heart really BAD!!! But I'm glad you were able to be there with her before she died... I'm happy to see you wearing a helmet on the motor bike... My sweetie died 4 years ago in a motorcycle wreck because she didn't like wearing a heavy helmet she was little and petite like you are, she was 72 years old and weighed 105 pounds and was 5 feet tall I miss her everyday... They didn't expect me to live ether. but after 27 days in a coma I woke up and didn't remember much of anything I had some brain damage also because I didn't like to wear a helmet ether .... 4 years latter and here I still lay trying to get my badly broken body to heal, I had a lot of nerve damage also... But I'll get better in GOD'S time He knows whats best for me and I getting pretty good on the computer... LOL I'm looking forward to see all the fun you kids are going to have sailing... I'll be out here watching... May God sail with you and HIS Angles guide you to safe harbors.... Sail on my love sail on!!! :-)

Would being employed as a crew member on the vessel get around your visa issues, usually the skipper takes in the passports and crew list when checking in and out of a country.
