This is exactly what would happen if Harry Metcalfe discovered meth.

Uh, yeah, uh, *eye twitches* welcome to another episode of Harry's field, the wife and kids left me long ago but no matter, the rangie turns out to be a great place to sleep, don't look in the glove compartment or I'll cut your fucking eyes out.

Ian, you're the other side of the world, there's the time difference to take into account, and yet someone posts a video of rusty crap in a field and you're here immediately with a comment! Only HubNut 👌.

There he is! They could have given you a shout at least. Love these guys but they highlight how spoilt I have been by watching a proper amateur when it comes to the ordinary.. Even the most professional out there have a lot to learn and could take much inspiration from your good self! Happy travels, hope you're enjoying youself, it's pouring down and windy back in the UK.

Definitly the funniest video you two have done. Two blokes on a windy cold day in knee deep mud having a good laugh looking round old cars. Classic british mentality.

Yes i had the Ford Probe at one point, was actually lovely to Drive but a nightmare in regards to Head Gasket issues, albeit was my First Sports Car that i could afford at that present time! Well that is my excuse anyway.
Love how Richard is going round tapping everything with his brolly like a pensioner
6:45 “You missed the point of a car boot sale...” dry humor between best friends. Marvelous content
I reckon all the cars were left there...when the rave finished everyone was that mullered they just forgot they got there in a car..

Good camera work and sound (no wind noise) on this video.
I've just rewatched this since it first came out and it is pure gold!
"CSI: Evesham" had me on the floor! This was the funniest thing I have watched for months.
This is like a hot cup of tea tonic to the endless modern car you tubers posting vacuous video's about the latest addition to their fleet and if they should wrap it. Whoever said proud to be British is right, this is car enthusiasm right here.
Jonny's latest video brought me here!
"My brother had a dirty minx" 🤣
"The engine's fallen out. That's annoying." I hate it when that happens!
I've just watched to men, of a similar age to me, walk around a muddy field in sensible coats and Wellington boots, poking crappy cars with an umbrella. For 45 minutes. I didn't know I had this kink. Thank you. I feel like a new man.
You have FOUND my mate Billy's old Volvo 144 in that there field!!! (I want/need the engine)
Reminds me of a dealer closing down auction I went to. Eleven Reliant Robins, each with one fault - engine missing on one, a wing off another and so on - went for one pound. Not one pound each, one pound for all eleven.
I'll bet Shmee and Supercar Blondie are spitting blood that you beat them to all those supercars.

I'm in love with that GS interior. That steering wheel.
This was so funny, I am so glad this was recommended to me.
This is brilliant! Thanks for checking it out.
25:10 LMAO - the group test that is still going on...
This was far more enjoyable to watch than I expected 😂🤣 it almost made me want to go walk around a muddy field looking at sad, rotten cars.

I've been compelled by something warm and moist inside me to come and watch this entire video again. That such blustery worship of glorious naffness is by far the top-viewed vid on the channel gives me hope for the future of all mankind. Bless you both - not all heroes wear capes, but these two wear wellies and point at things with a brolly.
Im American and watching these guys talk about cars ive never heard of is oddly entertaining.
I feel like CarPervert is going to spend a lot of money soon.
Every time I see an Austin Princess the Terry and June theme tune gets stuck in my head, so thanks for that! ;)
14:46 The plate etched on the headlights was to deter people from ringing the car. The glass would have also been etched too.
Loved it, what a good laugh and a blast from the past. More like this please chaps.
Brilliant, it's like a really bad show & shine at a car show 😂👍 Love it. And one of those fiat unos was my first car lol. So many memories in this field

This was awesome! Lots of memories. My Top 3 would be: 1- FIAT 124 Coupe 2- Citroen GS 3- Citroen Visa 😀😍
Watching two guys enjoying a walk in a field chattering away carlicious nonsense is just pure gold. This is how you tell a guy who likes cars and a petrolhead apart. One likes the A to B thingy because it is pretty and in fashion the other really has petrol running trough his veins and the mere sound of a V8 in the distance rumbling past gives him goosebumps. Touching the metal hood sends a tingeling sensation trough his finger straight to his mind.
The early Escort van at 33 minutes has a window and rear seat conversion that was available as a kit. Previously popular for the 100E, 105E Anglia (Thames), Commer Cob, A30/35, Mini and Minor vans too, as there was a sort of 'tax loop hole'. Cars were subject to Purchase Tax, whereas vans weren't, and the seat/window conversion was a cheaper alternative with the added bonus of more luggage capacity. Purchase Tax was replaced by VAT in 1974, and the market for those conversions died.
This was pure cognitive dissonance for a car nut. I see most cars are hopeless, rusted through and moldy but somehow I still hope / think that some will be saved although they have no intrinsic value. Also: somehow I cringed every time the umbrella was tapped against what used to be a shiny coat of paint or a shiny chrome bumper. Does not compute!
Thanks Jonny, that was the best KZread video I've ever watched, funny, interesting and down to earth. Nice one dude.
Back in high school, 'round about 1980, my best friend had a Spitfire. It took some doing to keep it running properly, but we went everywhere in that little thing. It cost nothing to fuel up and though it wasn't a fast car, you almost never had to lift off the throttle when going around bends because it stuck to the road like glue despite the little tires. Some good memories for me.
11:09 - one of the few GS's that escaped the rev counter being raided. Back in the early eighties when ever we'd visit a scrap yard for bits, always checked out any GS to see if the rev counter was still there as, although a pain to remove, made for a great retrofit to our Minis, Escorts or whatever we happened to be running at the time.
Looking at old cars & listening to old pop music always unlock old memories, thank you, very enjoyable. These two should be presenters on Top Gear and sack the two clowns they have now, but keep the excellent Chris Harris.
I'll take the Sunny and the Visa
Amazingly the Fiat 124 looks to be about the least rusty thing there
If I had a field and more disposable income, I fear this is what I’d become!
This is absolute class content, very glad this young lad learned about the master that is Harris Mann today! Thank you again Smith and Sniff, never stop what you're doing.
Sensational. I’m glued to this
Loved this , again so many memories looking at the cars here . Great to see a unleased video with no swearing edited out .
These guys are so interested in the crap, and just walk by the best ones ! There's a Singer Gazelle, and a Vogue in reasonable nick !!
I cannot but can believe that I watched the whole of this 44 min vid. Pure gold.
Christ almighty, good thing I only have space for 4 cars. Love this.
Just flip'n hilarious! Thanks for the good laughs, you two!
Classic car shows don't get more real than this .
Great quality video for the conditions... Love the stodgy blue Triumph 1500 FWD saloon with the boot spoiler !
Brilliant video! More like this please.
Best laugh I’ve had in ages, well done, I’ve not seen some of those cars in an age, good crack
I belly laughed so much I almost had a toilet rush. Priceless video.
Bought my 'first' A35 from those guys - glad to see nothing has changed since I visited. and yes it was a MAJOR project.
Great video guys, enjoyed seeing all the old cars 👍.
I know this video is old now , but what a great bit of banter and nostalgia on a sh it weather day but it didn't matter .. excellent 👌😂👍
That’s fantastic! I’d love to take that GS Club home. It’s not a very early car though, as it’s got the restyled rear end. It can be anything between 1976 and 1979.

blast to the past . enjoyed this thanks guys
Amazing vid guys !! Never watched a vid this long keep being awesome you fellow you tubers!!
The home of Capri club I’ve attended many Capri shows at this place over the years Lovely people Great times
This is excellent. The conversations about shit old cars you've had in the past are always highly entertaining. This is also a bit reminiscent of Steve Magnante's Junkyard Gold on MT. Well worth a watch if you haven't already...
I love this channel so much hahaha

Just watched for first time, what a nostalgia trip, an entertainment and an education from the knowledgeable and amusing duo, I got absorbed in it right from the start. A fine forty four minutes and four seconds, judging by the comments here a suiting sequel would be "Harry Metcalf reacts to A very unusual car auction" . I'm sure we'll be watching this over and over again. Many thanks Jonny, Richard, Mark and James.
I may be wrong, but the seats in the "Aston" look like they may have come from a Celica or Supra?
Thanks lads. Made my day😄
Absolutely Brilliant!
Love the "I'm Granada Steel" yank voice!
So many memories!! The avenger estate also and spotted a fiat 132 in the far corner.. amazing video, thank you👍👍

yes,I ran a 132,loved it with the 2 litre twinky, the sun visors slid out 95f the roof and you forgot they were there when leaving the car and they nearly sliced your head off, pity they never viewed it as I think k there's only2 left on the road in the uk,mines was silver,I painted it gangsters black ,1988
Excellent! Hillarious.
This brings back memories of being a small child! A town near us would have an auction and you could find anything from dishes to trucks ,cars and the occasional tractor in a farmer's field with everything in long rows the auction would last 5-7 days we would walk up and down the rows looking for those gems you just had to have, unfortunately those gems were mixed into a whole bunch of unwanted castoffs they held the auction every year for over 10 years but I guess there was just not enough gems to keep it going!
Really enjoyed this great to see you both laughing and chatting .... I would love to have been there too.... subscribed today looks like I’m Going to enjoy what you post xxxx
how can I explain spending 44minutes watching two guys talking about junk in a muddy field.....well done for doing it on our behalf...some fantastic cars and I did much the same nostalgic trip as you kudos to the cameraman too for following you around
Lovely video, so many memories of cars from my childhood. As a kid I had to suffer my dad having an orange Morris Marina! It could do good handbrake turns in the snow mind :)
Around the 24:40 bit is the funniest most heartwarming man child running into a sweetie shop moment ive ever seen XD
"Pebbledash Beach" - I'm stealing that.
😂 lovely content. I’ve had a laugh. A shame I’m late for the auction. 😂
