Many companies sometimes will revive concepts that they scrapped so that's why I said MAYBE, I didn't say it was a guarantee thing. Not to mention Nintendo are constantly making new enemies or trying new things for the Mario series. Like they're giving Princess Peach another game and doing a remake for PMTTYD, so it's a possibility that WaPeach can make an appearance

I like to imagine that WaPeach was touched at the end mainly because someone actually cared for/remembered her, especially since she was an unused concept.

Wapeach is such an interesting concept especially since her inspiration was from a Japanese cartoon with an ax wielding woman and her two minions one was tall and lanky and the other was short and fat. It was incredibly on point with the other Wa’s. If she was going to be the Anti-Peach I could only imagine what that would have looked like

@@Ayana-LTLA If the details I heard are accurate, she was rejected without even being looked at. The artist was like "I also have a design for a "wapeach"..." and Miyamoto was like "I don't even need to see it, [based on your other designs] I already know how she'll look. So no.".

Wapeach may not have been a real character, but she's real in our eyes😔

The reason I love this animation is because there's no unneeded punchline. If there was, it would involve the present exploding or something else "unexpected" to "subvert the expectations". I love it because it's not afraid to cause emotion.

Like the introduction of a new princess.... But this princess is evil, annoying, and rude. Maybe the character is the punchline the sub erted our expectations

It's always great to see the Mario community give so much love to a character that was lost media for years, only officially acknowledged through released concept art and nothing else. We didn't get any info on her personality or anything, and yet the community has come together to absolutely adore this lost character. If Wapeach can't live in official canon, she'll certainly live in the hearts of the fans.

We actually do know what the general gist of her personality would've been. She would've been a spoiled brat who bosses the Wa's around as henchmen. The idea was to make them a trio similar to Doronjo and her goons of the Yatterman series which is a very popular (primarily in Japan of course) older anime. She's basically the blueprint (least as far as i know) of all comedic villainesses in Japanese media with 2 bumbling but for one reason or another loyal saps by her side. You can thank her for inspiring gems like Pokemon anime team rocket, or if you wanna look non Nintendo, Dinosaur King's Ursula and her mooks by Sega or Capcom's Devilotte and her posse from Cyberbots (that one is even more like Warupeach being a bratty princess type as well). Among many many others in Japanese fiction that I'm sure i don't know of yet either lol.

i enjoy watching fans sculpt a character, from gimmicks to personalities to emotions and maybe even voices. Perhaps it is just the teamwork that pleases me, but it is pleasant nonetheless.

saw someone else comment this, not mine: the fact that on christmas, an axe wielding gremlin spontaneously appears and trashes the place before vanishing feels like a folkloric legend.

After her kingdom fell due to mysterious circumstances (the creator said she’s from a fallen kingdom, (presumably from the fallen kingdom in odyssey) Wapeach lives on the streets and turns into a real grinch every Christmas, one Christmas Day, Wapeach receives a present from her pink counterpart, and they say the kindness of Princess peach made Wapeach’s heart grow 3 times its own size that day.

Waluigi creator said that Wapeach is royalty from *a* fallen kingdom and some guy said on his instagram “the fallen kingdom from Odyssey?” And Waluigis creator was like “oh my god yes! How did I not see this?” So yeah, I’m officially going to make it my headcanon too. Infact, I might even draw a comic about Wapeach and the fallen kingdom

The plot thickens….the lore deepens

I mentioned this on the original upload, but this animation really shows why I love Peach. WaPeach went on a gremlin rampage, and Peach’s response was to show her kindness instead. Such a kindhearted and innocent soul.

The character writing in this one is just **chef kiss** Mario and Luigi setting up the tree together. Mario quickly jumping in to protect his brother from the threat and consoling Luigi after all their efforts are ruined. Rosalina showing that she never has and never will give a singular fuck. Just chilling with the lumas the whole time while knowing that nothing could be a threat to her or them. Peach preparing the presents, presumably for Mario and Luigi's christmas tree makes perfect sense for her. And Peach treating her literal archnemisis with the utmost respect and kindness even as they're actively trying to ruin her day is just on fucking point. Beautiful video ❤❤❤

I'll always enjoy watching Mario be a caring older brother to Luigi, the way he is ready to defend him to comforting him after the tree is chopped love it

Rosalina may not be that enthusiastic about Christmas but at least she reattached the snowman’s head, her mother instincts must have kicked in.

I find it sweet that WaPeach is stopped by Peach showing love and kindness. Assuming she's a fallen princess, seeing that makes her happy. Hopefully, she's back with a friend circle that's expanded beyond Wario and Waluigi.

I love Wapeach's design here and her personality! this was so awesome and wholesome

I've seen people portray Wapeach as either a manic girlboss, a rich kid with height insecurities or a tsundere turned master thief. Personally, I think all three are neat.

i wonder if wapeach's sudden blipping in and out of existence is due to her being a lost character

wapeach lives in solitude just outside the mushroom kingdom. He hates the townsfolk and despises Christmas. princess peach who believes in the spirit of the festival, sets out to reform her.

Truly Peachy indeed! So many details, like Rosa’s complete lack of interest, the fact Wapeach looks like she’s from a slightly different animation style, and the sweet ending just make this a wonderful experience!

I love how no matter what, one does not taint the purity and wholesomeness that is Princess Peach.

I found it so cute how Rosalina is just casual AF about using her magic to undo the damage Warupeachu did. XD Like she said: "It's okay kids, that little gremlin can't ruin our Christmas. Mama's got magic!" Like, Rosalina looked so chill fixing what she did, and she is too good at what she does. XD Totally digging her soft-mama bear vibe.

Please tell me their will be a sequel next year where she comes to apologize, everyone accepts it and they all have a jolly time, cause this was great to see. Merry Christmas everyone!
