@Isabelle Ivask exactly. twilight felt like I was really in Forks. New Moon improved for a wider audience. Eclipse did try it too. Though New Moon ~ Breaking Dawn probably aimed for a more theatrical quality at that point. But overall the kinds of music they used are like this, except A Thousand Years - that was too much pop ballad for my taste.

yess the first movie's blue tones and it felt like an indie coming of age movie which is a lot more relatable and cosy. I think once she graduated and her only goal in life was to become a vampire and be with Edward from now on it didn't feel as relatable anymore. Would've been cooler if it had kept that awkward teen emo vibe.

You are all really sweet! Honestly, if you ever get a chance to do something like this, take it! It is both euphoric and calming. Euphoric because that's obviously a very exciting thing to do. Calming because the is something really peaceful in the idea that everyone is still going about their day yet you, you are out of it. They are trapped in some sort of routine, but you decided to take a moment of freedom. It's as if you were all this time in a car and because of the speed everything was blurry but all of a sudden, you stop and take the time to appreciate the scenery in all its finest details. You contemplate the world as well as yourself. (Wow that feels really romantic, in its literal meaning!)

I unapologetically love twilight, I don't care how cringe people say it is. There is something about how the story and characters are all driven with love that makes me feel like falling in love when all my instincts tell me not to. Something about the all or nothing love Bella and Edward have that goes against nature itself. Love that is defiant, risky but so so real. There love completely consumes them, makes them unable to imagine a world with one another, and that sticks with me.

Im sorry but no. Twilight portrays very toxic love and a gross power dynamic between a teenage girl and a thousand year old vampire. Like it’s really weird and cringe to rewatch the movies knowing how old the characters were supposed to be. The fact that Edward just chooses to constantly go to high school all these years. So fricking creepy. Like he could just be a college student or work a normal job or just be a bachelor but he just actively chooses to be a high school student and then falls in love with another high school student? Idk dude I feel like it sets a very bad example to young girls of what love really is. Plus all the lip bites, mouth breathing, the intense staring, its just painful 😭

When I was like 15 I fall in love for the first time in my life, it coincided with the Twilight fever. I remember coming back from school, doing homework with the soundtrack of the first movie and then falling sleep. I wasn't depressed or anything, I just enjoyed so much sleeping, listening to this and thinking about my crush. How cheesy, and what a good times!

Yes!! I live in Washington and I loved reading the books when I was a tween because the book is based here and I whenever I looked outside into the evergreen trees I could imagine Edward right there! It rains from Fall to late Spring so it's always fresh air and cozy vibes! I reccomend visiting Forks sometime and La Push beach!! I did this year and it was perfect!

the opening scene has left a permanent mark on me; whenever full moon starts playing and the scenery of sunny phoenix turns into the forests of forks, this feeling i cant explain never fails to appear and fill me with emotions beyond my grasp

everything about twilight ,the aesthetic and the soundtrack just fits so perfectly

The emotional ties I have to this franchise are so comforting. I own all of the books and rewatch the movies regularly. They are like a weighted blanket for my anxious soul. You really do get attached to art whether it be a book, a film, a song. I love that so much

@@noragibson5850 Different power dynamics. He might be a virgin but has 100 years of life experience on her, while she is 17. He stalks her even before she shows an interest in him. He watches her as she sleeps, without her consent, for a while. Then they don't seem to actually bond over anything else apart from the fact he is a vampire who has the urge to kill her, and she is dazzled by his beauty and otherworldliness. They're terribly co-dependent, they don't communicate and choose rather toxic ways of dealing with their feelings. He breaks her car so she can't go and see friends who he disapproves of. She shuts down and almost accidentally kills herself because he leaves her. Basically their, uhm, love story, wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't painted as being the ideal of pure, romantic love. Something to strive towards. But it very much is portrayed that way although the actual writing points to the opposite.

So, i travelled for this boy through my whole country and he... just blew me off. We texted, talked on the phone, sent photos, talked about what we love, about our family, friends, passions, work, university, you know, everything. We have our inside jokes, our quite right observations about each other, feeling of being understood... What you think soulmate is- that is he. I always come back to the New Moon soundtrack without fail, at least 6 times a year. I also watch the entire series with friends at least once a year. The entire saga has such beautiful music. This playlist is lovely ♡

I don't know why I always have this kinda need of writing something important: a song, a story, a novel, anything. At the day I can't help to procrastinate. At nights I hear music like this and that big need arrives. But I dunno why I'm not capable to write. I know there it is, there's a feeling that I can't put in words and omg, Why can't I? I'm sure that u have lived that at least one time, the moment when u feel something absolutely special, but you're not able to share it, neither describe it to remember it. Let's cry a tear for that special moments that ended just being another thoughts of sleepless nights.

Autumn 2020 was very tough for me... I really needed to find peace in my life and I felt watching Twilight is a good choice to start this process of recoverig. After several years, I managed to connect to its unique mood, it helped me a lot! Now, it was great to find this playlist during examination period.

I’m going to read the books soon and I’m already in love with the movies. I could watch them several times without getting bored of them. Everytime I watch them I feel like I discovered something new and enjoy them over and over again. Twilight surely is something that brings you comfort

as looked down on it is, i actually love being the basic book worm girl. always getting to read and letting your mind go somewhere different from where you dread is just so nice. knowing that someone, somewhere in this world is living their dream, telling you thats theres a possibility for you to as well is so comforting. staying up until 5am because you got so lost in a book is the best feeling ever.

I always forget how much I love the soundtrack for Twilight until I listen to these and it’s just pure nostalgia straight to the heart.

I was brainwashed to hate it. The plot in retrospect was quite questionable but I was obsessed as a preteen and now at 16 I'm ok with liking it now. (Fixed my internalized mysogny).

People often hate on twilight for being toxic and tbh i can't really deny it, but still the books and movies and especially the soundtrack mean so much comfort to me! I never watched the Twilight movies but I read the books. They were so incredibly good. It made my heart ache the only way a good romance does to me. I cried intensely in all of the books, especially New Moon. This song playlist just makes me want to open all of the books again. (Especially Midnight Sun because it just shows a whole new perspective that’s even more interesting than the original from Bella’s perspective.)
