Ummmmmm, is this... based on a true story? Please say its not.
@AutumnLocks
For those wondering, it was in New Zealand. She was obese and they'd had to switch out the regular sized retractor with the extra large one due to her size. The hospital did not have a policy of including the retractor in their counts at the end of surgery. The governing bodies over there did not think that was acceptable.
@rebeccatexaschick7621
And doctors were blowing her off with the pain she was in.
@Yume10605
Knew they left something behind would not have thought it was the retractor
@michellemah2674
For EIGHTEEN MONTHS? They brushed her pain off and didn't realize their mistake for OVER A YEAR???
@hellonursemara9922
I'm having to pick my jaw off of the ground.
@MG-xr9dt
That’s a whole ass Christmas Wreath!
@xhocusxpocusx
H-how do you leave something that big behind?!
@ceciliapistorius8321
"Look back at this and laugh" how about "look back at this and pay me some big money"
@souldancersbyjennifer
Omg I'm so angry for her and the unnecessary surgery she had to endure and therefore recover from 18 months from her delivery because they didn't listen to her!!!
@RaeganNeal
As a Surg tech it’s their responsibility to do the count… how did the tech miss this?? Was it not considered a countable item at the time of surgery? Was the procedure rushed, did the patient begin emergence and had to be taken out of the OR for some reason? So many questions….
@bkoehler14
And this is exactly tge kind of shit I experienced as a heavy set woman with PCOS and what turned put to be SEVERE Endometriosis. I would be in pain so bad I was passing out and tgrowing up and still kept getting ryev"its normal. Judt take more tylonel/ ibuprofen" i now have several ulcers and early stage liver failure and had to have an emergency total hysterectomy to dave my life. Doctors really need to do better.
@JessicaFrameMusic
I certainly hope she didn’t receive a bill for that second surgery! And was reimbursed for all the hospital visits demanding to know why she was in pain, when they ignored her or said she would be fine!
@Ishyona
Welcome to the state of NZ hospital care. I still remember when they forgot when they'd done my c-section, and tried to discharge me before my spinal had worn off. I can't even move my hands yet 😒🤣
@julievaldez21
😱😱😱 I would be livid
@janiediaz2535
This happened to my grandma in Mexico after her c-section but they left scissors in her and she almost died from it.
@Shellbe26
I hope they covered the cost of that second surgery and recovery :)
@B.Harper7
You got to LOVE just how well male doctors listen to women around the world!
@tickley42
Holy shit. I'm really glad you didn't post this part until a few days after my C-section. 😂🤣 Here i was expecting a sponge or a bit of gauze. 😱
