A Tractor Tribute: See The Beautifully Restored 1947 W-9 McCormick Deering
We head to central Texas for the story of a beautiful W-9 McCormick Deering farm tractor like one that was used in the rice fields of the Lone Star State back in the 1950s. Bernard Selensky restored this tractor to honor the late Neil Burnside, a World War Two B-29 pilot and rice farmer who helped out with work opportunities back in Bernard's high school and college days. The W-9 tractor was in the International Harvester line up from 1940 to 1953. Burnside farmed about 500 acres of rice with four W-9 tractors.

Great you remember the Man that helped you in your young years of life 👍🏻🇺🇸
Mr. Burnside must have been a very special gentleman to impact a young man in such a lasting way. We should all aspire to being a Neil Burnside style mentor to a young understudy in our lives.
Just beautiful, our friend had one and we bought it when he passed away 😢💔😔, when we sold the farm 🚜😢, it got a great home and it's still running 🏃♀️ well and still working the fields 👍😀.
What a great story, Mr. Neil Burnside must have been a wonderful man to work for. Thank you Bernard Selensky for sharing your awesome story. Have a great day! And thank you Classic Tractor Fever!!!

Up until the mid 1980s a neighbor farmer had a W9 and used it for plowing and pulling his one row corn chopper.
Beautiful tractor and a great story thanks for sharing
Back in the day when people cared and handed down more than material things. I have tools and odd bits from 60 years of collecting and treasure some items given to me by men i looked up to and learned from over my youth. collected items have a real value when its from a man who cared and helped me in my youth. Thanks to all of them. I am now passing on stuff to the next generation.
What a nice story !
Memories! My Grand dad had a W-9 gas 60 years ago. There is still a W-9 diesel in the family.
What a neat story.
Nice restoration 👍👍
What a beautiful tractor, can you imagine being the original owner going out into the field for the first time? Grinnin like a mule eatin briars. 😊
That's got to be the nicest looking W9 I've ever seen. Superb!
Nice w9
This man and his tractor are a national treasure
Bellissimo video. Bel Trattore. Bravo.
God bless ❤
I believe the W9 and the WD were the best looking tractors McCormick ever made.
First tractor in north Iran was a Mccormik that made a big economy impact for farmers.
The gas 9s are just special.
Nice

A very heart warming story.
Great video thanks for sharing
I really enjoyed this episode. Great story.
That's really nice!
I like how the air intake is designed with the glass jar.
That tractor will still be running when most of today's junk is long gone.
